The best raincoat EVER and Seasalt GIVEAWAY

Ok not my most glamorous outfit post ever but oh my god it has to be the most comfy and fun outfit post ever everrr! Splashing about in puddles, in the rain, not a care in the world. It was marvellous.
Normally, if we're doing photos and it rains a become a right nancy and winge about ma hair or my poor beautiful suede shoes getting wet. Not today! Nope.
I had the most fun in my wellies and the best raincoat that has ever been made.
Yep thats right. Big words, but its a big coat that stands up to that statement.
You guys may have heard me banging on about Seasalt Cornwall for the past 3 years now. Those guys know how to make raincoats.
Tested on the Cornish cliff tops and made of specially designed Waterproof Melange that insures that no amount of rain is getting inside.
Woop Woop.
'Cos when you live in Wales.. that is an actual high priority in life.
I have my yellow one, which over the past 3 years has done me so well, and has more years left in it, but this time around, i was after a longer style and a different colour that wasn't soooo yellow.
So the Hellsweather Mac is my new weapon of choice against the good ol' unpredictable British Weather.
And let me tell you ladies, it totally makes rainy days so much better!!

A family Fay Out in my Whitestuff Shirt

We're approaching the end of the summer holidays with the kiddoes and still trying to cram in a few trips and days out (we actually go to Cornwall today which makes me so happy!!)

Its such a crazy time of year, by September i feel utterly exhausted from the summers activities and grateful for a bit of down time (ie sitting and drinking a cuppa without being interrupted once.. bliss!)

So with the crazy hecticness of summer i always always opt for easy peasy dressing. I can't be doing with faffing and primping and taking ages to get ready, its not a luxury you have when you have kids, so summer means ease of wear, but not compromising on style.

White Stuff asked if i would like to try one of their Tunics for a day out with ma famille and i willingly obliged.

There was SO much great choice to choose from, gorgeous summery prints, breton stripes, or deep colour blocks.

I went for the scatter tunic in rustic jam (isn't that an awesome name for a colour!!) with the idea of being able to wear it in to autumn also, I'm thinking chunky knit cardi, forest green skinnies and tan boots could look awesome!

But for this summers day, which was typical weird British weather, i paired my tunic with some white jeans and tan accessories.

Simple, comfy, yet effective!

Walking around St Fagans National History Museum can be warm then chillier in the shady old houses, so the tunic was the perfect choice.

We bought freshly baked welsh bread and scones with jam, gingerbread men for the kids and old fashioned sweets weighed out to the pound. It was lovely.

If you're ever in the Cardiff area i highly recommend St. Fagans for a wonderful historical day out. Its one of our favourite family places to visit.

After test running the Whitestuff Tunic i'm totally sold (i've just placed this in my cart! lovely isn't it?!)

SIDE NOTE: If you are a parent blogger who regular blogs your family days out, i take my hat off to you! Oh my god it was SO hard trying to get decent shots, we had one kid stropping and another other flapping like a crazy person (wasp swatting, there were so many wasps about!). No one kept still for shots so blurry photos galore. I was trying to act natural but pulling all kinds of weird and bizarre and unnatural 'poses'.

Funny, but i was exhausted by the end, haha!

Maxi Dresses & #Passion4Fashion LinkUp

This year i have been wearing more knee length dresses and the midi length. But every now and again a maxi dress catches my eye and makes me love it from top to toe.

This dress is from Closet London, a brand i have shopped many a dress from over the years and they never fail to to please me.

Designed and made in London Closet London has made me love Maxi dresses again with a vengance. I think i now *need* this one desperately in my life for autumn/winter. Can you imagine it with tights boots and a biker jacket?! Divine!

But for now i've been soaking up the last few rays of sunshine with the family and enjoying the last weeks of summer (note: as i type its actually like autumn outside, so when i say weeks, i probably should say random few days of summer)

So back to the outfit, loving green right now which probably stems from my khaki obsession that's been going on for the best part of the year. The print on this maxi dress is just all kinds of wonderful, and super flattering. It hid my huge Taco food baby a treat. The split up the side also means i can walk freely, unlike some other maxi dresses where i feel all kinds of restricted and walking becomes some kind of tricky agility task.

I added in a maxi cardi and some black comfy sandals and bag then finished off with the new khaki dreamy necklace from Yosa that looks like it was actually made for this dress, don't ya think?
