I find yellow to be one of those colours you either love or loathe. Personally, i love this cheerful happy colour but understand that it can be quite difficult to wear. This little dress made wearing yellow easy for me. Floaty chiffon in yellow and neutral rounded off with some simple black and gold accessories rather than adding in more colour. The neutral patches break up the full on yellow and the light floaty fabric means it doesn't look like too much of one block colour.

You guys know me i will try most any colour, but understand that yellow can be a little tricky.

My alternative title for this post was 'Pink it was love at first site' a la Aerosmith, as that is exactly what it was. A pink blazer had been on my want/need list since the beginning of spring, and so pay day hit and i went fourth and shopped for this little pink blazer. Bright and cheery it is definitely lovely to have on and looks great casual with jeans and a tee as it does with a smarter ensemble. Plus now i get to give my beloved Orange Blazer a breather and share the blazer love across a few of my new collection (Blazer addict alert...they are my new vice!)
Also ticking off my want/need list is a black and white striped skirt. Something i have had in my mind for a really long time but just haven't found the right one. Until now.. Step in Black Five. This skirt came literally a few days after ordering and is the perfect fit and structure. It is a stretchy fabric but has substance (ie isn't see through thank god!) and for me, is just the perfect length. You know when sometimes you're apprehensive from buying from a foreign website, unsure of sizing etc.. well so far my experience with Black Five has been the best. True sizing ( i also have a dress which is also spot on), great quality, fast delivery.I couldn't ask for anything more.
So thats two things off my need/ want list and i am super happy about that. Also it's friday.. i'm very Happy about that too..yippee!!

I have never been to a Festival but i have always wanted to attend one,in particular the imminent Glastonbury! With it being complete festival season right now, it got me thinking as to what i would wear. (i like planning imaginary scenario outfits, that's not weird, right?)
I thought long and hard about it and to really tick all the festie boxes i decided on boho/funky/casual/comfy.
That's a thing. Duo Boots were my starting point, comfy stylish and keep my tootsies safe and covered from mud, trampling stampedes and well, yucky bathroom situations (or lack of?)
Love these boots. Great for summer and winter.
Socks help with that also.
I then went for a comfy tie dye dress (Actually similar to the one from yesterdays post! i am really loving the cold shoulder!) and denim vest for comfy layered style.
Cross body fringe bag to free up my hands at all times.
Sunnies to look cool and hide the old eye baggage.
Head scarf, again to hide stuff, Dirty hair in this case.
Just a couple of cool accessories that won't get in my way or be too fussy;
the tassel pendant and some beady bracelets.
On the Must have's in the 'use' category this is what i *think* you would find with me:
Deodorant cos, d'uh.
Some very basic make-up necessities.
Dry Shampoo...thank you Jesus (or Mr Batiste as the case may be)
Pac a mac.. oh yes, British weather will not catch me out.
Small coin purse for my moo-la.
I missed handy wet wipes too.. that is definitely a must!
Kind of cool right. Maybe i'll have a party in my garden and pretend i'm rocking out at Glasto!

I picked this little number up last week when Grazia had a voucher for 25% off at River Island.
I have been loving RI again lately (you may have noticed), they really have something there for everyone right now(not like it used to be when it was very much only for young-trendy-super-hip kids wearing the latest transparent pvc type thing :p), from smart trousers to super lovely frocks, a la this one! I stumbled across the 'Cold Shoulder' style by accident but am very happy i have. This particular dress is the most comfy, fun and easy-going dress. I actually have this one in my virtual cart also as they are just so easy to wear. Hubby loves it too which is a win win in my books..
Lately i have worn this out for lunch, shopping and playing football on the weekend with the family. The light tshirt like fabric makes it cool and airy and the fall of the dress makes it swooshy and twirly..
Deee-lightful!!
It's also really great at hiding the fact that i may have had a few too many ice creams lately!
I've paired it with my coral heels here for a dressier look, but have also worn it with black wedges and flat sandals. Its just so easy. I would imagine it would look pretty great with some ankle boots too!
Flowy cold shoulder dress, i just can not fault you!
Have you ever really really loved a style or print that you bought it twice? Well thats what happened to me this week. Remember my totally awesome green trousers? Well, it turns out they made a dress version of these also. The dress then went on mega sale and there it was staring at me in my size,so I walked away with it for a mere few quid and i'm so pleased i did, its been the perfect companion to this warm weather we've been having. Comfy and cool and the colour packs a punch. All that for less than a tenner! As you can see from my previous post i went with practically the exact same colour scheme with the dress as i did the trousers.. Apparently my originality doesn't even stop at buying the same print twice, i will also dress it up the exact same way and present it to you all again to see.
No shame here ;)
If it ain't broke as they saying goes..
(Quick fact, these look identical to the Zara sell outs but they are in fact Peacocks! The store i had written off back last year has had a major shake up and they now sell awesome shoes like these!! I shall be back Peacocks!)

Lately i am all about simple outfits and adding in great accessories. I've been adding in lots of neutrals to my wardrobe - clothing wise, and then some major statements.
This is just a very simple skirt and top outfit that i really like, but by adding in the super statement necklace and the amazing bright red shoes it takes it to an even better version.
I am still definitely working on the whole buy less often but shop more classics thing, but i can see that is the road that i would like to be going down. This top is already seeing its second post in a matter of weeks as i just love it so much. The midi skirt is something i'm working on. I'm not much of a midi length wearer but its starting to grow on me.
So the sun is finally got his(her?) hat on this neck of the woods..yippeee! I am so happy.. lets all pray that it sticks around for a while, it really is a mood improver!
