A Power Shirt and Passion4Fashion Linkup

Lately i have become found of what i have affectionately named, 'The Power Blouse'.
And what is a 'Power Blouse' i hear you ask.
Well, lately i have been finding the simplistic outfits the best outfits.
Take a beautiful blouse for instance, it is the easiest thing to just throw on and go and feel pretty good about it too.
Great for the office, day-wear or a night out, a workhorse of a blouse is why i've aptly named it 'The Power Blouse'.
And there's nothing like pairing your Power Blouse with a pair of faux leather trousers for added sass. Another current favourite.
I picked up this shirt when there were discount codes flying around, i kinda just fell for its dalmatian-esque print, which falls nicely in to my monochromatic love of late.
I added in a little sparkle with my favourite clutch and necklace, some berry coloured heels and lipstick and it was easy-peasy dressing.

Yosa Turns 1 (&Giveaway) and #Passion4Fashion Linkup

Well i can't quite believe it. A full year has rolled around since i launched Yosa the online statement accessories boutique. I'm in shock! Where has the past year gone?! Just like when my little boys birthday arrives, I've come over all sentimental, what can i say i'm a big ol shumshy softie.
My baby business is 1 year old. And what a year it's been!
Having run a business previously (something entirely different however), i kinda knew what i'd be in for. Lots of hard work and late nights, blood, sweat and tears. I knew there would be up's and down's, which of course there has been.
But the thing that's resonated with me is, surprisingly, how super proud of myself i am and my husband Salvatore, is proud of me too, which fills me once again with the warm and fuzzies.
The other thing that has really struck me is how, even if i'm having a low day and there's some negativity buzzing around me, you ladies pick me up. I don't know why i didn't realise it sooner, as blogging does the same thing, but in regards to Yosa, it really has spurred me on.
From the thank you emails and cards, to the tweets and Instagrams, your words and photos lift me up and truly make my day.
Yosa Customers are quite simply, the nicest ladies there are.
The other thing we have developed over the last 12 months is the Yosa Community.
Yosa was launched for the pure and simple fact of fabulous accessories. Not long after we launched I soon saw that it was actually much more than that. I realized that part of the reason why i love this trade is seeing other women looking and therefore very importantly, feeling fabulous!
Empowering women is something i feel very strongly about, whether that be complimenting the pretty barista who has just made your morning coffee, or complimenting a colleagues new coat or shoes. A simple compliment can really go a long way as to how we feel.
Confidence boosters always help.
And if fabulous accessories helps encourage women to feel confident and amazing with themselves, then i think that's bloody fantastic.
If you don't know much about the Yosa Community, its basically showing some love.
Tweet us or Instagram us and we will share the love. And excitingly our customer lookbook/gallery is currently undergoing a huge overhaul to house all your wonderful, gorgeous pictures.
Each month we also have out Yosa Cover Girl which has received the most wonderful reception. Once a month we choose one of our customers photos to adorn our front page with links back to their social media channel of choice.
Its just a great way to share the love.
I love seeing Yosa items on our customers, so to have them on the front page as our cover girl, just makes me so happy.
Yosa
So i thought, instead of boring you all with photo's of me, yet again, i would share some photos of Yosa's gorgeous customers..

Styling Flared Jeans (& #Passion4Fashion Linkup!)

After last week, i think you can all appreciate my love for skinny jeans, ripped ones in particular.
But i had an urge to try Flared jeans again. An itch that just had to be scratched. I had dabbled with a pair earlier in the year and just didn't get on with them: too low cut, not flared enough and too short.
I put it down to a style fail rather than a whole complete fat fail. It was just finding the perfect fit that was proving as epic as the search for the holy -flippin'-grail.
Rewind about 7 years and i had the most perfect flared jeans. Great length for wear with heels, nice cut and fit and generally a great jean. I wore them all the time, and i'm talking before flares were cool again here. I'm way ahead of the trend (which incidentally makes me completely off trend at the same time. Bother!) So these perfect flares were River Island and only to be ditched when i gained all the weight and i couldn't prise myself in to the poor things a moment longer.
So with hope i turned back to River Island. And man did they deliver!
I picked these Mid Wash slightly distressed(i love me some rippage.. even a word!?) flared jeans and bought without trying on, thinking i could always return them if it turned in to another flared fail.
But i tried them on, styled them up, and freakin' loved them. Flares Forever i say!! Except on days when its raining cos soggy flares are just no fun.

I paired my new fancy flares with this new season Warehouse Summer Floral Blouse which is the same floral print as my favourite midi dress from earlier this year (they do the blouse in blue, like the dress too, which obvs, i now totally want too!) And i felt all warm and autumnally (seriously, what is up with my vocabulary today) 'cos quite frankly i've bored myself to tears with moaning about our crappy Biritsh Summer.. i mean being British you'd think i'd be used to perpetual rain and wind, even in the height of summer. But no, each year i act like i've never seen rain in summer and offended at how hard done by i am. Well not any more.
I'm just going to full on embrace the new Autumn/ Winter collections to make my ordeal a lot easier!
Shopping anyone? ;)

Spanish Senorita and Passion 4 Fashion Linkup

I never actually intended to post these photos here on the blog. We actually took them for some promotional material for Yosa. But i am all out of outfits posts after a crazy busy week, when are they not crazy i hear you say, and you're completely right.. how i'm still sane i'll never know.
With Sky Fibre going down (and still is whilst i type) meaning NO INTERNET for the past 24+hrs  makes writing blogs and mail shots and updating an online store virtually impossible. Thank god for 4g and hotspots and friends willing to lend you there houses so you can use their internet, is all i can say!
On top of that Yosa is doing so amazingly well i'm literally giddy with happiness and possibly tiredness due to working till 12.30 most nights then back up at 6am, so yes giddy happy/giddy tired.. (I should probably mention here that if you didn't already know Yosa is an online Statement Jewellery company i founded, its fabulous jewellery for fabulous ladies like you.. be sure to swing by and check us out..!)

So yes on to the outfit, I was so inspired by the D&G Spring/Summer collection with all the gorgeous red and blacks and rich florals, a mix of Spanish señorita and Sicilian prints, i just had to recreate my own everyday version. This scarf is my absolute favourite scarf that has ever existed ever, everrr. Its such a beautiful bold colour and exquisite print (and obviously an absolute fraction of the price of anything D&G lolz!). I went with the senorita vibes and paired it with a beautifully flowy black H&M dress, one of the green Everyday Clutches and my lace up sandals.
The finishing touches were the Delicate Dazzle Earrings and the Silver bracelet all from Yosa.  Obviously owning an accessories company has its perks and wearing stock for promo photos is definitely one of them *winks*

Sandals: Next
Dress: H&M

Do you own and scarves that you absolutely adore? I can see so much wear with this one( you can see it worn here casually), even through autumn and winter it's the perfect pop of colour.

PS Yosa is now on Facebook! I would love for my Rachel The Hat blogging buddies to come swing by and give us a like here!!
