Gold Tipped Boots

Style, its a funny old thing isnt it. Regardless of who you are or what you wear we all have our own sense of it, good or bad is personal preference of course. I like that from blogging i can actually see a transition of my style from over the years/months/weeks.  Sometimes a style to me can be fleeting, other times its a progression, a work in progress that i keep running with. I've mentioned a few times that i can definitely feel myself pulled to different styles and pieces these days..take my new boots. I absolutely, can not even get enough, 100% love them. Its crazy as i would not have looked twice at them say a year ago, but now, man i want to literally pair them with every single outfit i wear. Plus they are super comfy to boot (ha, excuse the pun)

 I guess i just like adding that edgier-edge to an outfit these days. Take a floral dress from the ton i have add a twist and i am good to go. These buckle cut out boots provide that twist, like the lime in my gin and lemonade, they give me that edge that makes things seem right.... or maybe thats the gin talking (?!ha)

 Speaking of style, don't you just love how blogging can be so inspirational. Ive said it before and i will happily say it again, the blogasphere is awesome. My outfit was inspired by this outfit by Julie of Orchid Grey.. her girly/edgy/boho style is beyond amazing, i was in love with her shoes and managed to bag myself a (cheaper) pair. Needless to say i think they shall be getting a lot of wear this autumn.

The MAGIC Dress ( & Passion For Fashion LINKUP!!)

F&F clothing Recently contacted me to ask if i would like to experience the wonder that is their new Magic Dress i said heck yes missy, let me see for myself if these are actually magic dresses.

You see i am alll about the shapewear when im getting dressed up for those special occasions. Before childbirth i had a seriously flat stomach, i was proud of it and never had to bother with support in the tummy department. But then Neo came and my tummy exploded to grand proportions. 3 years later and a wonderful healthy diet i now weigh less than what i did before him...however, i can not shift my mum-tum as i call it. I was not one of those women who's body naturally just pinged back to the same slim shape it was prior to bambino. My tummy will never be the same again (sob), its just permanently bulgy and even though it has shrunk, it is still there and not flat or smooth at all, unless i were to do a gazillion sit ups a day, and lets face it i'm not gunna, i will never have the dream flat stomach again. 

So supportive shapewear. I am all for it. 

 These Dresses have a fine support layer, kinda like a supportive petticoat, attached and underneath the actual dress. It supports, it smooths, it de-bulks. It works real well.  Having had a lot of personal experience with many a hold-u-in/shape-u type pants this for me was far more comfy.  It didnt squeeze me within an inch of my life but felt extremely supportive. It has a grip seam at thigh level which is very comfy and holds it securely in place and stops it rising. It smooths all the way down, leaving a more svelte appearance that i could not have been happier with, not only did it smooth the tummy area it worked the bum and thighs too (win win for a pear shape girl like me!)

 They have a few smart colours that would look great as office wear and would be comfy enough to wear all day. I went for this animal blue and black print and it had a great little tie detail on the waist too that added to the cinched in waist appearance that you want from a fitted dress. I would totally accessorize this dress for a wedding, or a smart occasion or even office wear for a meeting! It worked that well for me!

Flirty Floaty Dress

 Did you ever have a dress that just made you want to do flirty, floaty twirls and go dancing on the cobbles at midnight doing the samba by lantern light (just me,haha)? Well you get my point, this dress is just so fabulously fun, it was an absolute beaut to wear. I actually just wore it last Sunday to run around and spend some time with hubs (no dancing im afraid), but man did i feel good in it. Lots of nice compliments on the dress too which is always pleasant isnt it ;)

 It really didn't need much as its just such a great dress on its own, so i popped my floppy hat on, grabbed a clutch and some tan shoes and i was good to go! The dress comes from a company that was recently introduced to me. Choies is a global fashion forward website that offers something for EVERYONE. Literally, there is so much choice im sure practically everyone on planet earth could find something they like! They also have a really great Blogger program, go check it out here, its totally worth doing ladies as they are a great company to work with. This dress arrived within 7 days of me ordering it, which is much faster than i anticipated. I would say one thing, with this dress i bought a size Large, knowing sometimes sizing can run small and it fit extremely well, i would never have fitted in my normal medium though.. just worth considering, i imagine each item is different however.

 Happy weekend folks..

 we are amidst a wonderful long bank holiday weekend and Hubs is here and not working at all.. its so good to have him back. Today we hit the shops briefly to buy him some sidecutters (?!) and me a new wedding ring, yay! My eternity band (which was my wedding ring) and engagement ring are really loose after loosing weight (stone and half to be precise) , if i shook my hand they fell off! I was so worried i was going to loose them that we got me a new perfect fitting band that keeps them all in place..happy happy happy :) Its silly but i still look down at my wedding rings and love them as much as they day they were given, if anything, with all the scratches and wear from years of being on me, i kinda love them more. They've been through so much, a lot like our relationship, but ultimately they're still the beacon of togetherness that they were from the moment we were engaged many years ago (all together now, ahhhh hahaha)

 After the shops we went to what we call the path, its built parallel to the new road that runs and connects the local villages, its perfect scooting terrain and the kids love to scoot! It goes for miles and is great for going for a long walk all together.

 So as you can tell i am super happy to have Paul back with us for the weekend, and hes happy to not be working i imagine. Tomorrow we have another play day planned. Weather permitting its either a big huge park that the kids love or Cardiff Museum.. we shall see, either way, im happy :)

Happy Friday everyone!!Hope you've had a great and fashionable week!
I have been slogging away this week, hubby has been working nights &days and i have been holding the fort alone..its been tough, i miss him.. but hopefully come this evening will be the last of this super long hours. And of course im supper dooper grateful to have such a great husband who works his cute little arse off for us. But man.. kids.. they can't half push your buttons. Is it school time yet?? ;-)

Biker jacket, Black And Red

 I feel a style progression happening lately. I mentioned back in april that i was going through a bit of a transition, and i guess really you never stop changing, and that to embrace the change and go with it. That is definitely more of how i am dressing lately. I don't think im sticking to one particular style, or limiting myself (as i have been known to do that previously) but opening my mind to trying new styles and im actually enjoying picking new clothes and styles out for myself. It makes for a more interesting collection, rather than just a row of floral dresses (which i have a TON of!)

Something i had never really dabbled with before is the slightly edgier look, and sleek lines. I was alll about the girly twee previously, which i still like but im excited to try different ways to wear items. I am loving biker jackets, studs, and i don't think i've ever been so in to black, which feels bizarre for me as i used to be allll about the colour, but lately, black with the right accessories feels gooood.

Do you have a particular style? Or do you dabble in a varied way of multiple styles?

 Hubby bought this jacket for me last week, and we actually bought my step daughter nye on the exact same one, i went to put the jacket on just before leaving to go for yummy indian food with the girls from work and the jacket felt a wee bit tight and the sleeves were up my wrists. It did not fit like that in the shop... it actually took hubs to say  "you have Mia's jacket on!!" before i even realised, haha! I'm such a dope! But on a plus note Mia and i will totally be ble to share clothes soon as that age 11-12 almost nearly, fitted. Heehee!

This is also the last outfit before my hair cut (which was today) i've had a fair old whack off the length and lots of layers put in. I like it, it feels lighter and easy going which is what i am all about! Im looking forward to trying some different styles for shorter/mid length hair, any one have suggestions?

The Denim Shirt Dress

The denim shirt dress is an absolute all time, hands down favourite of mine. I have always got a denim dress (or two or three) in my wardrobe, they are just so so easy and comfy and can be remixed up a whole load of times.

This is my newest addition thanks to Uniqlo. It is the softest denim and so comfy i have worn it on average at least twice a week since receiving it. I've been wearing it with boots lots when it rains and tan pumps when its dry. Today i decided to pair it with my Lotta From Stockholm peep toe clogs which have not had enough wear yet this summer.

 But d'you know what? I am having the worst time with my hair lately, i'm at the point where i would quite happily cut it all off.. its just so Annoying!! Bad hair day after bad hair day, meh! I am hoping to go tomorrow and if i dont chicken out this time i am looking to go a lot shorter, maybe something like THIS... what d'you think? Go for the chop or just get a trim? Last time i totally chickened out so im thinking i need to just go do it this time rather than over thinking it like i am totally prone to doing! Obsessive over thinker over here... anybody else ever talk yourself out of a big haircut?

 Monday has rolled round again, i'm off for another week with the kiddos and *hoping* for much nice weather this week, im planning a trip to the museum and the farm weather permitting for the latter. Do you have nice plans this week?
