Polka Dot Maxi Dress (& #Passion4Fashion Linkup)

Next to stripes and leopard print, polka dots are a big pattern love of mine, in-fact i really feel i don't own enough polka dots and need some more in my life, and at the moment they're having a bit of a fashion thing so there are lots of lovely options out there.

I picked -this maxi dress- up at the very beginning of September and then left it there hanging, just longing to be worn. Sometimes i categorise my clothing in to 'Places i can wear it', which is silly of course, but then sometimes i am a bit silly i guess. So this dress was in my silly mental category of 'Lunch with the girls' and due to busy schedules that day didn't come around until this week.
But oh i was so glad it did as firstly, the company and food were of course wonderful, and secondly it was great to wear this dress out for the first time. I paired the navy polka dot maxi with black, which is definitely a favourite combination of mine (I know some people cringe at black and navy together but i absolutely love it) and layered a cami under and wore tights and boots as the autumn chill has certainly snuck in this week.

That's the great thing about winter maxi dresses, you can layer under and over and there is no need to be cold or sacrifice wearing lovely dresses. Its a win win!

And just to talk boots for a second: if you're looking for a small block heel comfy sock boot that doesn't go too far up the calf (i find some of them can be very unflattering!) then the ones -i'm wearing here -are from asos and they are amazingly comfy and very flattering!

Are you a fan of polka dots?

Khaki Maxi Dress (& #Passion4Fashion Link-Up)

Back with an outfit post.. finally! And just to ease myself back in gently  I am keeping it super simple. That's all my brain can compute lately: nice, simple outfits. The khaki dress was a purchase for my Summer Capsule, and I'm already glad to have it in there. Its light, comfy and perfect for days when you can't be doing with fake tanning/preening ones legs... #lazygirlproblems.
I am a big fan of easy dressing as you all now, so this is one of those no-brainer outfits that you can pull out on days when you just can't be doing with the using up brain-power (me most days then). I look forward to remixing it with some black, blush and some navy too.. oooo and orange, or red. See great little re-mixer all with one dress.
I didn't wear many maxi dresses last summer, but have already fallen back in favour of them.

Flirty Floaty Dress

Did you ever have a dress that just made you want to do flirty, floaty twirls and go dancing on the cobbles at midnight doing the samba by lantern light (just me,haha)? Well you get my point, this dress is just so fabulously fun, it was an absolute beaut to wear. I actually just wore it last Sunday to run around and spend some time with hubs (no dancing im afraid), but man did i feel good in it. Lots of nice compliments on the dress too which is always pleasant isnt it ;)

It really didn't need much as its just such a great dress on its own, so i popped my floppy hat on, grabbed a clutch and some tan shoes and i was good to go! The dress comes from a company that was recently introduced to me. Choies is a global fashion forward website that offers something for EVERYONE. Literally, there is so much choice im sure practically everyone on planet earth could find something they like! They also have a really great Blogger program, go check it out here, its totally worth doing ladies as they are a great company to work with. This dress arrived within 7 days of me ordering it, which is much faster than i anticipated. I would say one thing, with this dress i bought a size Large, knowing sometimes sizing can run small and it fit extremely well, i would never have fitted in my normal medium though.. just worth considering, i imagine each item is different however.

Do you own a special dress that makes you want to go out dancing?
