Floral Wrap Top (& # Passion4Fashion Linkup)

Oh the wrap top or indeed a wrap dress is one of those universally fabulous pieces that just suits all shapes and sizes. I tried this on a few weeks ago and fell in love with the cut and the beautiful bold print. It also works for day time or evening attire. I wore it for a meal out in Cardiff with some of my oldest friends last Saturday night and it hid my food baby beautifully ;)
Being not well endowed (hello fried eggs!) i put a little cami vest top underneath to keep things neat and tidy. But really this style works so tremendously well on all shapes and sizes, creating a feminine silhouette and masking a tummy area, bingo wings and showing of the decolletage in a flattering way.
Whats not to love, right?
As it was a night out i donned some heels and black skinnies, but this with faux leather or coated jeans would look sexy, and blue jeans for day would look chilled but fab.


I'm super pleased with this new addition. Even though its a dark floral print i hope to wear it throughout spring too.

So its friday.. Woohooo! Are we all happy to see the weekend rolling in? I now i am, and for us it's the beginning of half term, so its a whole 2 weeks off from early morning nagging, school runs and making pack lunches...Yesss!!! Don't know who's more happy, the kids or me!

Essential Festival

I have never been to a Festival but i have always wanted to attend one,in particular the imminent Glastonbury! With it being complete festival season right now, it got me thinking as to what i would wear. (i like planning imaginary scenario outfits, that's not weird, right?)
I thought long and hard about it and to really tick all the festie boxes i decided on boho/funky/casual/comfy.
That's a thing.
Duo Boots were my starting point, comfy stylish and keep my tootsies safe and covered from mud, trampling stampedes and well, yucky bathroom situations (or lack of?)
Love these boots. Great for summer and winter.
Socks help with that also.
I then went for a comfy tie dye dress (Actually similar to the one from yesterdays post! i am really loving the cold shoulder!) and denim vest for comfy layered style.
Cross body fringe bag to free up my hands at all times.
Sunnies to look cool and hide the old eye baggage.
Head scarf, again to hide stuff, Dirty hair in this case.
Just a couple of cool accessories that won't get in my way or be too fussy;
the tassel pendant and some beady bracelets.

On the Must have's in the 'use' category this is what i *think* you would find with me:
Deodorant cos, d'uh.
Some very basic make-up necessities.
Dry Shampoo...thank you Jesus (or Mr Batiste as the case may be)
Pac a mac.. oh yes, British weather will not catch me out.
Small coin purse for my moo-la.
I missed handy wet wipes too.. that is definitely a must!

Kind of cool right. Maybe i'll have a party in my garden and pretend i'm rocking out at Glasto!

Things have been pretty cruddy over here in the Turone household, what with illness sweeping through and lack of sleep our lives seem to just be merging from one day to the next in pj's and just about coping (sobsob i know) But after what has been a fairly rubbish week, i'm looking forward to seeing the back of it and *hopefully* having a corker of a week, starting this weekend.
On Tuesday i turn 29....!!! 29 people. is this too early for a mid life crisis? as i feel one coming on. Lately i've been looking at myself and i feel frumpy and mummsy. 2013 has been such a crazily tough year, one of the hardest i've ever had. Needless to say i'm saying goodbye to 28 with a few more wrinkles, a lot more worry lines and way too many grey hairs, but looking forward to a happier place and a fabulous 29th year.
So above is  my birthday wishlist to make me feel all shiny and new (and non mummsy and frumpy !) And if the birthday fairies do exist anything on this list would sure make this birthday girl happy!
Being a December baby has its advantages, this time of year is doubly exciting!!

Leopard Lovin'

I have never been a huge fan of leopard/animal print.. but i've come to realise that worn in the right way it can be such a fabulous wardrobe staple (like these gorgeous Lotus shoes!!).
A little hit of animal print in a shoe or a scarf looks so chic, and never seems to leave the fashionistas radar, returning year after year. So i have decided to embrace a little of the animal print and go for it!

Chilled in Chinos

Pretty much spent my weekend as the title says, chilled out in chino's. i am really liking teal and tomato.. who'd have thought those two would go.

I find when i wear lots of dresses i do look forward to some trouser time. This weekend was spent at the park, dog walking and shopping. 

I had a horrible feeling this weekend that i may be getting old, reasons being:

I bought the new Newton faulkner album and have been listening to it non stop. My 9 year old step daughter sings all the songs word perfect. I sing along and get all the words wrong! i remember my parents doing that and thinking," Gaaawd they just don't get it"... yup i'm now that parent!

Secondly, a new supermarket (Sainsburys) opened just down the road and i was so excited!  Thats really sad isnt it!? Whats even worse was i really REALLY enjoyed my little jolly there and couldn't stop talking about how lovely the new Sainsburys is. 

So this weekend has made me conclude

a. I'm officially old

b. My life is quite pathetic.

Couple of weeks ago Antonio of Firmoo ( the world's most popular online eyeglasses store where all fabulous four eyed people shop daarrling!)  contacted me and asked if i would like a new pair of specs. As an avid contact lens wearer i thought, heck yeh, i'll give it a go. And d'you know what? I LOVE them. They are wonderfully comfy and they arrived within 5 days with my prescription to a tee! They have some great styles and currently they are doing Free Glasses! If you are blind as a bat like me  and always a bit frugal with your well earnt cash or would just like to look realllllyy coool in some new specs  but dont want to spend loads , then go check them out! I'm already eyeing up this pink pair and i really need some prescription sunnies too, which i've been putting off... but no more!
