Purple Pleats and Gold Details

This pretty purple dress caught my eye in Outfit and i picked it up and then put it back. When i was back in there again this weekend, i saw the dress on one of the mannequins dressed to perfection and i decided that it was a sign, the dress needed to come home with me. I don't often take inspiration from mannequins, but sometimes those big dollies get it spot on. The dress is made of a light jersey fabric and is just so very comfy and a great length. I opted for my knee high boots for a boots-meet-pleats option. Plus, its cold and i'm wearing tights and socks under there, but nobody knows (apart from you guys obvs). Again i feel like a deserve a pat on the back for this dress as i can see lots of great options for its future. Next up i'm thinking with a chunky knitted sweater over the top which will show off the pleated skirt part wonderfully and some ankle boots.. 

It's quit nice to be able to find nice dresses again. I've been going through a real jeans/trousers phase, which i have to admit, i'm not completely out of yet. I just keep turning back to tried and tested jeans and a nice sweater formula of late. Its just easy. But Needless to say i really do love this dress, which excites me. Oh i do love having possibilities with a new addition to the wardrobe, it makes me happy to get dressed in the morning..does that make me quite pathetic? ah well, its the truth, i can't help it! I get excited about getting dressed, especially if i have upcoming events.. there is nothing i love more than outfit planning. This time of year is the best, what with all the Christmas doo's and my birthday (eeekk!), I've also just been eyeing up Alt-J Tickets for hubs Christmas present, which i think this outfit would also work quite nicely for, the concerts not until Janruary, but i do like to be prepared with my clothes at least ;)

• Breton tops, infact striped ANYTHING. A week does not pass without me donning some stripes
• Comfy flats to change in to when heels are just too much! Enter Butterfly Twists... oh yes... Life.Savers.

 You may of heard of the little foldaway shoes that you can keep in your bag for when your heel loving heart just can't take the height anymore. You just whip the little fold-up shoes out and pop them on for instant comfort. Butterfly Twists are the clever people behind these rather wonderful feet saving companions. Not only are they heavenly for the feet they are SO stylish too! I mean just look...Leopard print, my total favourite. Pretty and Practical, (and might i add a complete bargain too!) I won't just be whipping these out of my bag at the end of a hectic day, i actually would choose to put these on at the beginning of the day. Their cushioned soles make them like slippers which makes ranks these highly in my shoe of choice!
Have you ever purchased fold up shoes? I can highly recommend Butterfly twists.

Wearing Lilac in Autumn with Camel And Plum

 Oh camel coat how i love thee. Since my big coat debate i have worn this coat so very very much!! I've mentioned previously how i sometimes start from the outer layer of the outfit and work my way in, well it bodes well when the coat is this good! Camel goes with so much, which makes for very easy outfit making. I recently saw in Look magazine camel and lilac for a 70's type vibe, graced the catwalks on some designer shows. And I like this combo. It brings a pretty pastel  colour to autumn, when we used to be all about the browns and blacks. Fresh colours are always welcome, especially when paired with the wonderful neutral of camel.
I paired my new plum 'tube trousers' (fancy word for thick stretchy leggings if you ask me) in to the outfit for some depth next to the lighter colours. Black seemed to dark, jeans would work too but this lovely plummy colour added just the right amount of warmth.
I wish i'd taken my coat off to show the sleeves of this lilac fine knit sweater. It has lovely little jewels all over the sleeves for that extra sparkle. Love it! (have a look here plus it's on sale for £10!)

Meet the Newest Member of the Family

Thought it was about time i made some introductions here on the blog!

This little lady is Cassy, 

the newest member of the Turone household. 

She is a Bichon Frise crossed with a Jack Russell.

 She's teeny tiny, full of fun and the most wonderful addition to the family.

I never really realised how much i wanted a dog until this bundle of joy came to live with us. We had been talking about a puppy for some time for Neo, we wanted him to grow up with a companion of the furry variety as when the step kiddoes leave to go to their mum's house, there's a huge space left behind and it leaves him sad. So it was either give Neo another brother or sister (not gunna happen) or a puppy. 

We looked around for a few weeks, mulled the idea over and then this little baby came upon us.

When my husband,Salvatore, went to visit the litter of 3 girls, this perfect little pooch took a shine to him. She choose him and therefore she came home with us.

We have already giggled and oohhh'ed and ahhhh'ed so much at this little beauty that i can't imagine life without her, as i type she is cwtched* up asleep on my lap.

I just can not wait for her last jab so we can take her out for nice walkies with her.

So there we have it!
