This maxi skirt has been with me about 4 years, a cheap purchase from Primark but surprisingly has lasted me well and i continue to love it each year. Without fail each year i will wear a Breton top and do a nautical-type ensemble with it, but today i went for a casual tied grey tee and a fail safe denim jacket (another must have spring piece for me).
I'm also attempting to straighten my hair less in hopes of it growing a little faster. I normally have very fast growing hair, but right now its so dry and brittle i need to show it a little TLC, so its messy bed head and messy buns for me as much as possible at the moment. Which is a-ok with me, hair has never been my strong point, having a huge frizzy mane has had me stumped on way too many occasions. But messy? Messy i can do! heehee!

So tell me do you love a maxi at Spring or do you keep your legs in hibernation until actual warmth arrives?
Like the outfit? Want similar? Here's a few things that might tickle your tatsebuds

I love the colour of this skirt- so vibrant! So much love for this outfit xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! Don't you just love a nice comfy ensemble!:)x
DeleteI had the same problem recently - lovely sunny Spring day so put on my maxi skirt thinking it'd be perfect and I was absolutely bloody freezing all day :(
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the same as you at the moment, trying not to use too much heat on my hair, it's so damaged from all the years of abuse ... I figure I'm at the age now where I should stop being so vane and just let it be natural as much as I can so I'm not bald by the time I'm 40!
Love the outfit!

I like your logic on the hair thing.. i am trying to only use heat once a week or once every 2 weeks if i can push it. i'm very hair lazy so it should be ok lol! Its funny though isnt it, for girls hair is our thing.. i moan about mine but without it i would be lost!X
DeleteSuch a great colour skirt, I love you in brights! A friend of mine wears knee length leggings under her midi and maxi skirts until it's warmed up enough, but I am not that brave and do tend to keep covered up as much as possible. I find that if my feet are warm then I can stand a bit more cold on my legs - so western style boots with on the knee dresses can work for this time of year for me. Hope you had a great bank holiday weekend, it was gorgeous in the Rhondda on Sunday! P x
ReplyDeleteI too used to wear leggings underneath but find they add bulk, and i need streamlining not adding LOL! but they totally work for warmth. I'm the same, if my feet are warm im fine, if not im a big cry baby lol! i love cowgirl boots and dresses... one of my fave summer looks! xx
DeleteI'm loving maxi skirts for spring and this one is such a lovely bright colour. I've been really brave recently wearing my shorts and skirts and haven't been too chilly.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I completely understand about straightening hair too much! I swear I straightened it every day for like 10 years (only slight exaggeration). I'm finally learning to work with my natural hair so that it can regain it's health! Your "messy" hair looks great! Love the look~~
