I had my eye on this dress for weeks and finally caved and bought it for myself as a birthday treat at the beginning of the month. I've worn it every week since as its just so damn comfy. good news is its gone on sale, which is a definte bummer for me seeing as i paid full bloomin' price! But hey, i've enjoyed it and will continue to do so.
A good day dress in winter is one of my favourite pieces to style. The creamy hue of this fine knit dress will lend itself well to so many other colours which in my remixing book makes it a great piece regardless of price (justification for myself right there..) I love the contrast of the white and black but i may have some rather lovely tan boots for Christmas that would work equally well and and chunky brown cardigan also.
In other news.. how do you like my rather snazzy, simplistic new blog design?
I love it! Its simple, clean and exactly what i was looking for (thanks Catherine for the recommendation sweetie!) If you scroll to the bottom my IG feed is there, which i love, plus a new shop link at the top which will take you to Yosa.
It also has social share buttons at the bottom of each post, which i had been asked for by some lovely readers. i am now fully shareable and all my Youtube/IG/FB icons are just to the left, you know.. just in-case you loose me.. Plenty of places you can now find me :D
So yes. Nearly a new year, and a lovely new fresh blog design. Happy days!
Wearing:
The Jane Clutch BagScarf(only £9!)
Steve Madden Boots (also on sale and SO worth the money)
Dress (half price)
Quilted Biker Jacket
This will be the last Passion4Fashion this year! Can you believe it?
The next Passion4Fashion linkup will now be on January 1st 2016!!
I'm going to hopefully get a post up on New Years day but shall keep you all posted otherwise!
Are you all ready for Christmas?

Love your new blog design, it looks great! :) And I like your dress too, lovely with the leopard print scarf! White is always a colour I admire on others, too clumsy to wear much of it myself haha!

Very tempted to looking into a new blog design. Yours looks great as does Catherines. I had so many problems when I had my last design done, things that were agreed on not added, there was a lot of tampering involved and even my photos wouldn't load up right. Of course, every time I spoke to the designer the reply was, that will be another £££ to put that right! Being an absolute newbie, I was totally taken advantage of!
ReplyDeleteSorry for that little rant! Thank you for hosting

Love the contrast of the black and cream. Oh my gosh, can we talk about that quilted jacket?! That is a show stopper. You look great! Your new website design is, indeed, very clean and chic. ;-) Nice way to start of a new year. Happy to have found you through the Fab Favorites Link Up!

Hope to see you for TBT Fashion link up.
Love the clean look of the blog - well done.
ReplyDeleteOh that's so annoying when you buy something and then it gets reduced! Still, at least you're getting your money's worth. Looks great with the scarf!

Rachel I'm starting to see this combo of black, white and leopard as a signature Rachel the Hat look... Whenever I see it on someone else I always think of you!! Plus HOW do you look so cool in a skirt and short biker boots, I'd love to be able to pull that off!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend and a lovely Christmas break too, only 5 sleeps to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I know I commented already about the new design but must say again it's so clean and fresh, and I'm glad the recommendation was a good one!
P.P.S. You said about the dress going down in price, did you buy it online? If so you should do I what I do: As long as you're still within the returns period (usually 28 days) then you just order another one at the lower price, then send back the newly delivered one, unwrapped, on the original order. You get a refund for the full price and the second order is charged at the sale price! I do it all the time, especially if the retailer offers a voucher after I placed an order (about to do it with my ASOS order, they just gave me a 30% off voucher). That means you get wear out of it and still get it at the sale price...!
I love the black and white with a little bit of leopard print. I'd never dare wear white - there'd be sticky little fingers all over it in no time! The new blog look is fab :-)
