Seven On Sunday 0.16

Why helloooo, and happy Sunday to you. I hope you've had a supper lovely week. February is definitely proving to be a better month than January was, thank God, but we're only 7 days in, can only get better right; trying that thing...what's it called again... Oh yeh positivity.
It seemed to skip merrily past me in January, but I've caught the skippy little bugger now and giving it a test run.
So far I highly recommend it.
Screw you negativity, you're not welcome here this month!

This week was rather busy and rather fun, I held my first Yosa stall and got to meet and chat to some fabulous ladies. I undid the ball and chain aka my laptop and desk, and set myself loose on the world. It went really well, and it was so nice being out and meeting fabulous ladies. I provided the sparkly shiny goodies, they provided me with inspiration and great feedback. Definitely something i will be doing again I hope.

How has your week been? Good I hope. (Do share, we're all friends here, I honestly love hearing about you and your week)
And so, here we stand at the beginning of a new week... Here's to a good one!

Things I've been loving this week are:

0.1 I can't pull off plaid/checked items at all. But this dress SO makes me want to try.. and God loves a trier right?

0.2 Love a bit of chick-lit fluffy reading, I do.. its my guilty pleasure, its how I like to unwind. I have just finished a few of Lindsey Kelk's books and now starting a Single Girls To-Do List. I just absolutely love how she writes. I feel like its just how my mind works, profanities included. Its refreshing and modern, especially in contrast to my other guilty pleasure of Downton Abbey, which I'm currently re-watching from series 1.. another guilty pleasure. Its all the pomp and ceremony and overstated formalities that are fascinating to me. My husband hates it, haha.

0.3 Anyone else dreaming of Spring? It seems as soon as we get to the tail end of January i start dreaming of blazers, slip on shoes (as opposed to sock clad feet in boots) and simple outfits of tshirts and jeans. I'm kinda thinking of style for Spring and so far I'm thinking preppy. I want blazers, oxford style shirts, comfy jeans and loafers. These would do nicely t start on my preppy quest.

0.4 Speaking of blazers, i saw this in my local store and tried it on, it's divine!!! Much nicer than the styling online suggests. Unfortunately they only had sizes 12 through to 18 in store. I am now fully prepared to press purchase as I have actually had sweet dreams about its loveliness.

0.5 Off to see Goosebumps today (for free thanks to my Clubcard vouchers, Thank you Tesco!) with the kids which I'm really looking forward to, love a bit of Jack Black i do, and then I'm *Hoping* with a capital H, that me and the husband can somehow manage a date day/night next week and see Deadpool (without the kids of course, that is not family content ). Have you seen any good films lately?

0.6 Speaking of Tesco or F&F rather, I saw this striped number in store and it is much, much nicer in the flesh. Lovely and fresh for spring, totally on trend right now, and for a teeny tiny price tag.

0.7 Made Slimming World vegetarian rmoussaka and it was delish! Husband polished off the whole pan and its being made again this week.. Another recipe to add to my rotation.

Have a wonderful week my lovelies!XX

Seven On Sunday 0.15 (And new hair doo!)

Ooo what a busy busy week. I have worked my rather generous behind off and its been good.
I have also been looking for the perfect wear-everywhere dress (more on that soon i'm sure) and doing a wee bit of shopping, as thank god it is finally payday.. January I'm not gunna lie, i am happy to see the back of you.
In other news,I got my hair cut this week and its quite short! I've also got some exciting news to share regarding a course and also took lots of photos for Yosa's new lines..
All in all a very productive week.
the new doo

This week around the web i have been loving...

0.1 I was in Outfit this weekend and Step Daughter was looking around the Topshop consignment, now its not a place i usually peruse, once again deeming it too young/psychedelic/ skimpy. But, they do have some great pieces that are none of the above. These caught my eye and i actually gasped, then quickly reminded myself i do not need another pair of black boots. In all fairness these are very different and would look great with culottes and midi's and all jeans.. Oh dear... want, want, want!!!

0.2.. Looking for great cashmere? I have been, as I've mentioned before.. And I've found some here! Now all i have to do is decide what colour, I'm thinking the grey crew neck for a time less look, what d'you think? The powder blue is gorgeous too though and in to spring could be perfect.

0.3 We've signed up to Amazon Prime as i kinda feel like I've exhausted Netflix. We've watched Mr Robot and currently watching Hand Of God- love Ron Pearlman; He'll always be Hellboy to me!
Any recommendations for good series to get our teeth in to?

0.4 Found the breton top of my dreams, finally. Can't wait for it to arrive.

0.5 Discovered Danish Brand Ganni and fell in love. The blouse I want is sold out everywhere, but I'm biding my time and  stalking checking daily.

0.6 I have bought 3 crappy mascaras this past couple of weeks.. none of them sit right on me. I'm just about to give up hope.. any suggestions? I like thickening volume and length. I've heard good things about this one which i may have to take the plunge and try.

0.7 I do love a good shirt dress..

What have you loved this week? Do share!

Seven On Sunday 0.13

First SOS of 2016! I've actually been doing way too much internet window shopping this past week...Ma bad, BUT haven't been buying everything, well almost not everything, plus i made a list of what i am totally and utterly crushing on this week in my budget post.

So as always, here is what i've been loving from around the web this past week

0.1 I caved, i bought them.. i am now the proud owner of a pair and i freakin' love them. This is my second pair of sneakers/trainers since my days as a teen and i am fully embracing the cool, casual comfort they bring to an outfit.

0.2 This is the most gorgeous coatigan.. it arrived yesterday after i purchased it this week with a voucher and its gorgeous. I got the Small but i think i should have gotten the medium for the slouchier, more cuddly look. But that aside, its divine!

0.3 Jeans, jeans, wonderful jeans. I am on a quest to replace some of my old and shabby with great new investment pieces. I've never owned any of these, but my husband swears by Levi's and has worn them for years. Do you own any Levi's? Would you recommend?

0.4 Strings at the ready, i reckon i could do an awesome air guitar (or would it be jumper guitar?) with this funky little number (would also look great with my Gazelle's)

0.5 A new webshop discovery for me this week, Paulie who stock some amazing knitwear. If beautiful cashmere is what you're after.. look here. I'm extremely smitten with The Contrast Cashmere Jumper  and The Statement Diamond Jumper.. love them both, and with the cold snap coming i think they would be prove to be very useful indeed!

0.6 Speaking of Cold Snap, i'm still trying to decide which winter boots to go for. I'm not talking stylish boots here, i'm talking dog walking, potential snow wearing, rainy weather wearing boots. I've ruined two pairs of Ugg boots in my rainy day dog walks so its about time i invest.
Its between The Sorels and The Sperry's, question is which ones do i go for? The Sperry's are cheaper, but the Sorels, i feel, have a nicer selection with higher leg versions available (which is beneficial, when you've had mud marks up the back of your skinny jeans from puddles)
Any thoughts? Do you own either to recommend?

0.7 Being from a travel background i know the trends, and the key to booking a holiday is get it early. This time of year are some great savings and i have to admit its got me thinking about what we will be doing this summer. Do we return to our favourite spot  that we have been to twice before and can highly recommend? Or try something different? I'm not going to settle until i book something, i know what i'm like. Would love a break with just Salvatore and I this year at some point too... here's to wining the lotto maybe? ;)

I wish you a lovely second week of January, i hope it goes easy on you. and don;t forget to let me know what you've also been loving this week!

Seven On Sunday 0.11

Ohh what a whirlwind of a week. Had a delightful birthday on Thursday, with continued celebrations on Friday and Saturday. I've eaten so much good food i feel like a heffalump.
This week is DEFINITELY a week of healthy eating and exercise. May even crack open the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD to try and bust the gut, just to enable a more guilt free gorge over christmas. I find healthy eating at this time of year so hard. There's chocolates everywhere i turn, cheese and biscuits readily available and wine that i never seem to refuse. Anyone else like this?

Anywayyy enough about food, here's what i've been lusting after this week around the world wide web.

0.1 Gingerbread man christmas onesie. Standard christmas post-feast attire. This is bound to sell out so i am gunna go bag mine.

0.2 Frowny Face sweater for those days when i'm in a bad mood and i can just point to the cute little badge

0.3 My coat obsession grows stronger. I need some shearling in my life.. desperately.

0.4 I've been cyber stalking this dress for weeks.. i just don't if it's very me? What do you think?

0.5 In the aim of eating healthy, i have planned a week of sumptuous healthy dinners for the family. Tonight is this which I've made before and it is proper comfort food. Perfect for a rainy sunday evening.

0.6 I've been loving skirts this winter, which is bizarre as i usually avoid them like the plague. But i guess that's changed and i'll just have to embrace my skirt appreciation. Was just doing some online browsing and hubby looked over my shoulder and said he loved this minkpink patchwork skirt, what do you think?

0.7 Bought this top for practically pennies this week. Its super flattering on and i went back to get the grey but it had sold out in store. I would say they are a little see through, so am now on the hunt for a pretty cami with maybe a lace detail (just found this one and love it)

What have you been loving this week? Do share in the comments. I'd love to have a natter!

Seven on Sunday 0.8

As i mentioned in Friday's post.. it has been a toughie this past week.
When things could go wrong, they did. BIG time.
But starting afresh this week with hope for a much better week (it couldn't be any worse than last week.. i hope!) and a renewed look on things. Sometimes things don't go your way, but it doesn't necessarily mean its your fault or that you should take everything to heart.
I need to remain mindful and in the moment this week, rather than attempting to think of a gajillion things, 90% of what i can't change anyway.
So yes.. onwards and upwards folks.

This week i have been loving:

0.1 This reed diffuser in Winter's Wish.. so so good! I have one on my desk so when i sit and work it smells divine. Its like the very best of winter smells. Plus Donna, the owner is a mum boss/small business owner like myself. Its wonderful to support small like minded women in business don't you think? (plus she's FAB!)

0.2 I'm on the hunt for the perfect check shirt. Last year i bought and subsequently returned 3 checked shirts. I just don't feel like me in them. I look like a lumberjack, or farmer, which is neither the look i was going for.
But i am not one to give up easily,no no, i am very much still on the look out for some perfect plaid. I'm thinking, leather trousers, check shirt, black gillet and lots of long chains as a necklace. A little bit edgy is the way that i think i'd like to try a check shirt.
In my mind its black and green checked. This one looks like it could be worth a punt. But my favourite are from here at Madewell.. theres some lovely choices and the prices seem not too bad!

0.3 Still all about the stews this week! This Slimming world Italian bean stew.. YUM

0.4 This plum lipstick has been on constant lip rotation this past week. On trend, can be layered up for darker look or blotted off for a subtler shade. Nice on the lips too, not drying or glossy.

0.5 i have been on the hunt this week for the perfect black cape/poncho!! Its all i have been looking at all week, to the point where i was going poncho crazy. I knew what i wanted but do you think i could find it? Well apparently not. I found it in white and neutral but black was non existent.. or so i had began to think. Then i found this one.. on sale.. I pick it up Wednesday. I see it with navy and leather by friday ;)

0.6 Tried this hat on and didn't buy it.. now i need to go back and get it as my head misses it so bad :(

0.7 This charm has a very special place in my heart.. Neo and i have a Gingerbread man thing going on. So have put this on my christmas list.. isn't it cute!!

What have you been loving this week? I would LOVE to hear!

Seven on Sunday 0.6

I've had a lovely week with a family member who came to stay. We did lots of days out and lovely lunches so it's been a busy and fab week, but also it means its been lots of time away from my beloved internet.
It's always refreshing to have time away from this old keyboard and have your eyes opened to you surroundings once again.
So back to the grindstone this week for me, but its with refeshed vigour and enthusiasm, which is nice.

This week from around the world wide web i have been loving:

0.1 French connection. A brand i have been very partial to over the years, and this season they have some beauties, in  particular this shirt and in the all black too. I can see so much wear could be had from this style..

0.2 ..Particularly with these that i've just bought. I love a bit of faux leather.

0.3 Its getting cold here so its casserole season.. i've brought out the slow cooker and am currently looking for new recipes ( do you have any slow cooker recommendations?) I'm cooking this today.

0.4 Makeup this week has seen me set to my usual kit, but i'm on the look out for a new contour powder as mine i have at the moment is more of a summer bronzer. I've heard good things about this one, so may pop to get that tomorrow.

0.5 I love a good link up party and as well as hosting them i lvoe to join them. It's sucha  great way to find new blogs and inspiration and like minded lovely blogging ladies! Ann has just started one, which is brilliant. She showcases her style stories from her week, which i just love! Go join in if you can, its great to participate and support other bloggers.

0.6 As i mentioned in 0.3 its definitely getting chillier here, after a long stretch of some freakishly mild weather. Right now i'm all over the knitted dress. I have one from primark that i love, but I also have my eye on this one for a possible cheeky purchase this week.

0.7 I'm addicted to my Star Scarf, its been everywhere with me lately. Neutral in colour but my favourite print.. can see it being worn a lot this winter!

What have you been loving this week? Any suggestions for me?

Also vlog numbero duo is coming this week! I have some amazing questions from my lovely blogging friends. If you have anything you'd like to ask me, then feel free to leave a comment below and i will be answering them this week!

Happy week to you all!

Ps.. most of my instgram pics this week appear to be of Cassy my dog. I apologise from the puppy spam.. i just can't help photographing my little buddy!
