Sunday Funday

Hello lovelies... Nice weekend? I do hope so!
Its been good here, my lovely sister came down with my beautiful nieces today and we had fajitas(yum yum). So it was a  house full with 5 kids and 3 adults, it was fab... i love it when we're altogether.
The weather is pretty lovely right now, blue skys and cold frost..i like the cold, far more than i like rain and dry weather makes blogging me very happy.

Jumper: Warehouse sale
Jeans: Sooo old (i gave them to my sis a while a go and she wore them recently, hated them and so i claimed them back and its love all over again)
Hat: Next

Had me a fringe(bangs) cut yesterday, infact i had the whole lot done, its so nice going to the hairdressers and having an hour just for me.... as a mama an hour is such a nice luxury!
But the fringe, she cut it a few mm too short! No one else seems to have noticed, but I notice. But hey, its just hair, give it 2 weeks and it'll probably be peerrfect! Until then i'll just put up with it (and wear hats, tee hee!!)
This outfit is just super casual,  I wondered whether or not to post this. Often with blogging i think its for best outfits and the nicest dresses, but thats not me alllll the time. This is very often me! casual and comfy.Hope you dont mind!!
If i wear dresses or skirts for a few days, i find myself looking forward to a nice jeans day. Sunday is the perfect day for that...Do you ever look forward to dressing down?

Right lovelies, off for some reading before bed, cos im like a little old lady!lol.. Now excuse me whilst i get my hot water bottle and coco (ha ha rock and roll folks!)

Lots of Love

A falling out....

With this damn laptop! seriously its conked out 4 times since i have tried doing this. My husband is a computer geek(in a lovely handy way) this shouldnt be happening!!! I'm starting to get computer rage. Its amazing how much i've come to rely on this piece of equipment! (please dont die mr laptop, i NEED you! big kisses and a promise of a full nice service for you if you stay alive!)
So yesterday, Saturday. Saturdays to me have always been about shopping. When i was old enough to venture to the local town shops i would meet friends there and hit the few shops that we had. (this was before mobile phones, so you would arrange to meet prior and then hope they turned up. lol...or was that just me.. mobile phones are good!)This would then consist of loitering around the make-up shops, trying the perfume from the perfume counter and trying on whatever we couldnt really afford as teenagers.
And then as i grew older, Saturday shopping would be for the ideal Saturday night outfit.
Now as a mamma and wife with responsibilities, Saturday is mostly food shopping, or shoe shopping. Shoes for kids that is (seriously they go through them like they grow on trees!!). But i do manage to sneak in a few bits for myself sometimes.

This was this saturdays shopping outfit....

Cardigan:Newlook
Blouse: Asda
Jeans: Next
Shoes: Tesco
Bag: Matalan

So when i say i mostly go food shopping, obviously these food shops have big clothes sections that often beckon me in....
The tapestry type bag from Matalan is lovely, it was £6 on sale and is a joy to carry. Its not quite as good as my MIL's vintage beauty, but will do me well.

Anywhoo
I hope you've all had lovely weekends..back to the grindstone i guess!
hope to be back soon...'puter permitting.
Take care all

Granny Crochet Chic

Last day of the holidays folks, boohooo :( I must say i am sad to go back to work. Took the dec's down today and the house looks bare both in a good way and bad way. i miss those sparkly lights but love that my house looks minimalistic for once (only in comparison to yesterday, its still a hoarders heaven here really)
So to mark my last day before getting back into the dreaded rat race tomorrow i went super casual.

When i say Granny crochet chic.... ye, there's nothing chic about this outfit, but i still love the fact that i look like im wearing a jumper your granny crocheted.

Crochet Jumper & Rust Flares:
River Island sale
Chelsea Boots: Clarks

The thing i love about sales, is that i often find a lot of things are on sale as they didnt sell well, aka nobody liked them. In steps me. Usually, i love the stuff nobody else does. I like giving homes to those outcast clothes that nobody loved or wanted. My house is a clothing orphanage for unloved items... all welcome.
And this crochet jumper is the newest member.  At £50 i liked it but wouldnt part with the cash. At £15 i was happy to part with my pennies. The rust flares are rather large but they proved comfy and practical for the gymnastics of jumping round the room taking down the decorations and cleaning.
I have about 6 crochet blankets at home, so now i literally blend in to my furniture. Not sure if thats a good thing lol!

I still have my 2012 goals to tell you, the more i think about it the more i keep adding so i think i have to draw a line!
I hope to be back soon (work permitting and also weather permitting, we're forecast some nasty storms, winds, rain, you know the usual) got some cracking outfits ive put together lately that i can't wait to show you!
Take Care lovelies

Sunday Morning rain is falling

Happy New year again all! Hope you brought it in with a bang, ours was more a puff than a bang. With kiddies its always a calm event. But we saw it in and i didnt fall asleep! We were watching Absolutely Fabulous and i suddenly heard fireworks, sure enough it was midnight, lol!
Ive got the dreaded feeling, in the pit of my stomach, the feeling that you know work is just round the corner and your free time has gone as if it never had been. I hate that feeling....

Blouse: Peacocks on sale
Skirt: Gap On sale
Cardi: Primark
Necklace: Old
Boots: New Look
Umbrella:Vintage

The birds are back, another animal piece of clothing added to the collection!!!

"im spinnniiinnng in the rain";)

'me new lovely boots that arent really made for the stoopid rain, being lovely suede.

I Super loved this easy going, easy wearing outfit. I felt really comfy and like i had made an effort. Always a winner with me. Plus this skirt runs really big, i bought my usual size, and its huge!! It literally cost me a tenner on sale which i was well chuffed with, and came in well handy with the after christmas binge weight gain. I didn't think i was gunna go mad this year, but ive put on half a stone!! Half a bloody stone!! Grrrr! Well, guess you know what my 1st 2012 goal is!
I do have some other "goals" (im not keen on "resolutions" the pressure is too much, least goals i can aim and hope for the best, and theyre more a guide than a persistent nagging in my mind)
I'll tell you what my plans are next blog, i'm still putting a bit of thought in to it.

Lovely people i need your help. I bought this beautiful vintage 1970's, wool skirt recently for £4 on ebay. Its a beauty, but the christmas colouring of it is making me wonder how the hell im gunna wear this now christmas is done for a whole year!
Any suggestions??? I really would like it to be less festive more winter wear. Im thinking maybe adding the above mustard type blouse to add another colour to take away from the obvious. What d'you think?
All advice gratefully received!!

Well lovelies, you take care and i'll be back shortly!
See you Soon
