As Chic As It Gets

Hello lovelies, and how is this week treating you so far? All well i hope! I am finding I have alone time on  my hands for the first time in years. Its c-razy.. You may be thinking, what is this crazy hat wearing lady talking about, well, i have literally been flying by the seat of my pants, moment to moment for as long as i can remember now really. Always on the go, always pretty stressed and always super busy. Things are calming down this week for me and i can't even tell you how nice it is to have free time, a concept i had long since forgotten!


 I was literally wandering round the house this morning not knowing what to do.. overwhelmed with the possibilities of things i could do with my wonderful free time. And so, feeling quite uneasy, i made myself a cup of tea and browsed pintrest and instagram for waaaay to long and killed an appropriate amount of time before i had to go pick up my beautiful son. Time wasted yes, but with that came a realisation that maybe just maybe i have time to start a new project.. something for me.. Again the mind is whirling with the endless possibilities but i am excited!:-)


 Well i felt decidedly chic in this ensemble.. I'm not normally chic, never have been really. I was always the cute one of the sweet one, which i was totally fine with. But today, i felt like a laaddyy :) This stripy fine knit dress is just wonderful on, and with my (miracle invention)  fleece lined tights, i was toasty warm and good to go.
The dress is a recent Ebay thrift for less than a fiver! Do you shop Ebay? I have to say i am a definite fan! This is an Oasis dress and for £4.20 it is in great condition and i love it even more for its bargainous price.

    Aw happy anniversary!
    I think you look awesome in this outfit! Black, white, and red is a favorite combination of mine.Your leopard print shoes are the cutest addition to this outfit. That dress was such a bargain too! You can't beat that price.
    Also, hooray for free time! When I have free time I end up wasting time on the internet and reading blogs. Good times.

    Oh look at you with your gorgeousness! Chic is exactly what I thought when the page first popped up. Chic in a totally classic retro beauty type of way. The red hat is lovely and so flattering, as are the matching red lips & nails.
    And, yeah, I can't believe you got that dress for under $5! (<--insert GBP sign there; I don't have it on my keyboard ;) How do you know the clothing is going to fit? Do most sellers accept returns if it doesn't? I've thought of shopping ebay for clothes, but I'm always nervous when I can't bring something back.

    Anyway, I hope the move is going well (or at least happening?). Big hugs! Happy Anniversary!!!

    That hat is awesome!! I don't have much free time at the moment with Audrey being at home full time -though she does still have a lunch time nap which is great but I usually end up doing housework or checking emails! It's my evenings that I tend to use for working...would be nice to have a day off just to be me on my own! x

    What do I do when I have time!? I read, I make cards, I procrastinate on the computer, I go for a walk, I chat on the phone, I shop, I compose music, practice my flute or sing! Always something to do!

    Oh what a fun outfit!! That hat seriously is amazing!!!! I recently had that same sensation of not know what to do with the endless possibility... then I just sit and waste time doing nothing thinking of all the things I could be doing. Usually I end up frustrated with myself by the end of it all though haha Oh well!
