The milder weather excites me, it means shoes again! I mean, obviously i wear shoes all year round, but in the winter its boots only in the cold wet weather. Milder days brings out the shoe lover in me, and as much as i love my boots its so refreshing to reach for a pair of bright cheerful heels!
This outfit had been in my mind for some time, so i patiently waited (something i am not very good at!) until the day when the sun came out and the temperature hit double figures! As much as i love dressing for autumn and winter, by this point i am most grateful for milder weather. I actually started perusing for sandals last week, the thought of sunny warm days beckoning excites me.
But for now i am very happy to wear some ripped denim, a favourite grey coat, chambray shirt and a pop of colour from the shoes, the clutch and the necklace... Spring may not have really swung in to action fully (its miserable and rainy today.. these were taken yesterday), but my outfits are now in Spring mode ;)
The Colour Pop necklace has been waiting for its day to shine and yesterday was its moment. Its such a fun piece that now i can't stop wearing it. Bringing fun to any outfit. I love how it brings in the orange from the clutch and the blue from my Kurt Geiger heels. I love it when an outfit comes together like the pieces were made for each other, don't you?
Are you dressing for spring yet?
Are there any pieces you are looking forward to wearing?
Hat: F&F (gift from my hubby! he knows me well!)
Chambray shirt & Coat: New Look
Shoes: Kurt Geiger (c/o McArthur Glen)

ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about 'contrived'. Sometimes the simplest & most comfy outfits make me the most happy. And yes, wearing shoes instead of boots and great big socks felt wonderful. Although i was back to boots today as the weather was utterly miserable!

It's pretty toasty here already. We don't really get much spring weather. It kind of instantly turns to summer and summer here sucks! I really love this spring outfit though. Those blue shoes are amazing!
