Have you ever tried something on and thought no, just no. Thats me with this outfit. Its wierd, i like each piece but not together..and not on me. Just no.
But God loves a trier and trying i certainly am ;)
The palazzo trend is everywhere right now, so much so i obviously got suckered in to try. But it just isn't for me. I have seen them on others and they look uhmazing (possibly why i bought them) but i think they just do nothing for me. We took these photos and in true diva style, i viewed them and just shouted to my poor husband across the room
"NO! No no no. It's just all wrong. WRONG i tell you" then threw myself face down on the sofa and claimed that life was so unfair..
Ok maybe i didn't do that (i'm not that bad i promise). But we both did look at each and there was an agreeance that perhaps these weren't for me. It could be my pear shape body, and my blatantly putting a big old flag like pair of trousers on, just emphasises my larger points. I dunno.
But everyday's a school day ladies, and today is the day i learned that patterned palazzo's are just not for me.
I also didn't feel very me in them. I've been in to simple, plain almost, outfits of late. Especially navy or black and white. So the overtly patterned trousers just felt like they were screaming at me, which i don't like when my clothes yell at me. It causes all kind of uncomfy-ness, for me and the trousers ;)
Have you tried patterned palazzos or any trend that you couldn't get on with?

Palazzo pants are my favourite, I seriously don't know why I still don't own a pair! Yours are amazing and I adore the windy photos.
ReplyDeleteIt happens to me regularly, because I too love to try out things. Not yet felt the urge to try palazzo pants tho, especially not foulard style printed ones. And haha, I know exactly how it feels to look at a shoot and think "urgh, no, please, what happened here, it's horrible".
ReplyDeleteThat said I think you managed to make them look good anyway ;-)

These look great on you Rachel! Love the tassel necklace with them too. I have several pairs of palazzo trousers but I wear them either as pyjamas or 'loungewear' around the house, not out in public. I think I would wear a slightly more tailored pair out in public, but I haven't found the perfect ones yet. Thanks for hosting x
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful trousers! I don't think I could ever be brave enough to wear those but you look amazing! X
ReplyDeleteLove the pants!
ReplyDeleteI love your post…so funny. I haven't tried Palazzos, and I probably won't. The closest I've come to is what I call 'Pajama Pants' or silky pants with a drawstring waist. And I only wear those when traveling for comfort. I know what you mean when you say a trend is 'not for me'. I've tried to jump on the maxi skirt trend, and I bought one skirt, but when I looked at the photographs afterwards, I knew that look was 'not for me' too. My hips are too narrow, and my legs are one of my best features, so why cover them up?
ReplyDeleteI love these pants on you!

Stunning
ReplyDeleteI think you look great in those pants, but I know how you feel! I just could not get on board with the romper trend or the faux leather mini skirt thing. I just don't feel like me in those sorts of clothes.

hi Rachel! I have seen many palazzo pant in my day that frankly want to make me barf but, yours, ...yours are wonderful! I love how you styled them and how the red nail polish brings out the red in the pants. you are one smart cookie!! ♥renae and ...ps, thanks for hosting this. awe.some.hop.
ReplyDeleteI think you styles the pants beautifully, but perhaps you would feel more 'you' in a pair with a smaller print. I am 5.2 and have some navy ones with a small red and white print from Zara and I love them.
ReplyDeleteLove the print on these palazzo pants!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, these pants are AMAZING! What a great piece!
