But when i got to thinking about it, because obviously when i think of occasions the first thing i process is what would i wear, I realised that there are a few options that could be for Valentines day.
Now this is dress code talk that only another lady would understand, so here goes:
We have uber dressy, we have smart and then we have smart casual options.
Some people like to go all out and have a dinner in a fancy restaurant, some like a nice pub meal and maybe the cinema, and then there are some who will perhaps go out in the day for a stroll or take in a gallery or museum.
Dates are all personal preference, and whether its your first Valentines or your 10th, picking a fabulous outfit that makes you feel amazing, can never be a bad thing.
Starting with
Uber Dressy
I'm thinking dining out in a fine establishment, candle lit and fancy feasts.
I chose a pretty dress for this, more specifically a wrap dress, which is a beautiful flattering cut that will accentuate you in all the right places. This lovely little number reminds me of the dress i was wearing the night my husband first kissed me(awww), so the shape and the style of the dress feels a little romantic and lovely.
Smart
Smart is my groove, this is where I am most happy and most likely to be my dating category. I'm think a rather lovely meal at a charming restaurant, followed by drinks or maybe even a movie.Leather trousers and a gorgeous Pussybow Blouse is kinda smart-sexy and comfortable don't you think?(Sidenote, I'm also in love with this blouse.. how gorgeous!) And being as its February I added on my faux fur coat for warmth and added huggabilty.. who wouldn't want to hug me in this fluffy bad boy!
Casual Day Date
I love the idea of instead of a traditional night time date making it in to a day long event, with lunch, taking in a gallery and some PDA action with a little hand holding. For this comfort but class is required. My first item of choice is a trusty breton top, this one has a twist however as its adorned with subtle sequins and a soft neck-line. I added in my comfy jeans, classic black coat, my lace-up flats and a pop of romantic red with the bag.
What are you planning on wearing and doing this valentines day?
Do share, I would love to know!
With thanks to Jane Norman for helping me create these 3 valentines looks

Great outfits! Each one is perfect - makes me want to go on three dates (with the same guy, my husband, of course)! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love my faux leather leggings right now, so I'm sure I'll wear them. Not sure what I'll pair them with though...
I love that dress in your first outfit, but my favourite outfit overall is the last one as I love my denim :)

The first outfit is adorable. I love the colors and geometric prints in the dress. The second one is very sophisticated, sexy without being provocative. That's my favorite. The third one is the kind of outfit I've been wearing a lot lately. No fuss, comfy and polished. Have a great weekend!

Three fabulous looks for Valentine's Day! I love a great wrap dress and the colors and patterns on this one are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely loving all three looks! You made this hard for me to choose. At the end of the day, my personal style leans more toward comfy and chic. If I had to choose a favorite for V-day, I would go with the dress and heels. I'm a girly-girl at heart...lol. Thanks for sharing and hosting the link up as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Valentines inspired day looks, loving the way you look in the first dress especially!
