However, now and again I really can't resist adding in spritz of colour or pattern.
I spoke last year about the power shirt, and I still totally believe that a great shirt can really up your outfits ante so to speak, and make you feel a million bucks (pounds?).
I've been a bit naughty and bought two this month. I loved them equally and couldn't decide, so over the space of a week I may have bought both. But they equally great and different and will be worn lots through spring I'm sure (the other you shall see on Friday).
This one I'm wearing today was just begging to be paired with some leather. I think it would look pretty amazing layered under a sleeveless leather dress (which is also on my lust list), but not having one means I opted for the old faithful faux leather skirt.
For less than £20 this little skirt has been an asset to my wardrobe.
Plus it's wipe clean, which makes it kinda perfect in my books.
Come warmer days (if they ever actually materialize) I'm thinking bare legs with a midi skirt, or even some cut off denim shorts and some lace-up sandals. Lovely lovely shirts. You just gotta love them.
By the way, just to be completely honest when writing. I am having major issues getting something down today. It's not even writers block as I kinda know what I want to say (floral shirt= pretty.. its not rocket science ay) but my god, procrastinate much?
During my time since opening my laptop I have wandered off approximately 11 times. I have made a cuppa and come back. Turned the radio on and returned. Opened a yoghurt put it down, looked at my blog preview (of which there was just pictures and no words), then picked the yoghurt back up before deciding I didn't actually feel like eating a yoghurt, and returning it to the fridge.
All that before 9am.
Procrastinator-Extraordinaire, that's me.
If only I could magically just make the words appear from my head on to the screen, just think them and they would appear. That would be ace.

you are GORGEOUS!! First of all I love your new hair and second of all....I literally laughed out loud at "it is wipe clean". Ok, seriously only MOMS see the benefit in pleather skirts as being "wipe clean".
ReplyDeleteP.S. I would love to feature you and interview you on the blog and YOSA in the magazine....I will email you this weekend :)
