EBEW: Coloured Tights

Heellloo

Well look at me blogging twice in two days. Personal Best!!
I really wanted to participate in Everybody Everywear's Coloured tights as i do love me some coloured tights.
Lately I've been wearing, gold, navy, maroon and cream. I do fancy some red and purple though.
The thing i love about coloured tights is they instantly update any outfit!
But fellow mummys and clumsy people (like me) beware. I scagged mine this morning on my sons velcro shoes! Nice holey hole in them for my first meeting this morning! haha! I crossed my legs and hoped to look professional.
Hub's took these pics for me yesterday in my new goldy tights... today(although you cant see me ) my holey tights are blue... My gosh ramble ramble ramble.... that could quite possibly be the most boring paragraph i've ever written. Enough chit chat, here's the pic's:

Dress: Love Label
Jacket: F&F
Tights: Matalan
Boots: New Look
Anndd because i blogged yesterday i have nothing of any interest to tell you today, accept it's my friday today. one day work week, woohooo!
I'll try and make some earth moving news for my next blog, although, don't hold your breathe ;o)

Happy Thursday Folks!

Plaid family

Well the weekend is drawing to a close, oh so quickly, yet again! But it's been a really nice one for us here. Bit of shopping, walking, duck feeding, and self feeding.

Saturday saw us attempt our first family pumpkin carving....

And for some reason I seem to have a plaid/checked thing going on. Now, I'm not sure if this is pure laziness on my behalf as I assist 4 out of 5(most days, sometimes it's all 5) people in this house to get dressed, and whether my mind can only comprehend one outfit at a time so therefore i dress us all the same OR i just totally love plaid and checked shirts! ( for the sake of this conundrum i sent myself to my wardrobe where i counted 10 different plaid shirts!! Seriously 10... do i really need that many?! yup)

plaid plaid plaid

even he has a checked shirt on underneath his knit
Super comfy outfit for walks and ducky feeding.
Bought this jacket after wanting one for ages like this, on sale for £12 from Peacocks.
Its so warm and cosy.
Shirt to add to my collection from Matalan last week.

HUNGRY DUCKIES!!!

These two are so cute

Mission Pumpkin was a fair success i'd say. Hubby did good and did all the hard bits for the kids. We ended up with lots of pumpkin innards that i attempted to make a pumpkin soup. Now, i'm quite a good cook. I enjoy cooking and have vastly improved over the years. However, my soup was just not, well... good. For some reason the kids thought it was delish, me and Hub's thought it was just not great. Gunna try again!
Here's a little look at out Pumpkin antics:

Chief Pumpkin Carver

These lovely pumpkins made my house smell sooo good!

Hope you've had a fabulous weekend! Another day with the kids tomorrow for us as it's the beginning of half term here. Plans are the park if dry, play gym if wet. So just general playing about rain or shine!

Friday Five Fav's

HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE, I think i can say we officially made it to another weekend, fairly unscathed.
I'm looking forward to a fabulous weekend. Tomorrow we are painting bags from a tutorial from this lovely blog. Seeing as the UK now has a 5p charge on every carrier bag(even when buying clothes or fast food! Craziness!) I thought now would be the perfect time to get organised, get my bags ready and obviously that involves making them puuurrddyy:)

With the absence of piccies for you today (hubby has pulled a muscle playing golf bless him) I thought I'd show you my Friday Five Fav's:
1.
New Look currently has a fantastic sale on. I got this dress in store for £9.00! I liked it when it was £29.99 but didn't buy it. I love it now it was only £9! Looking forward to showing it. I think it needs a nice belt. Suggestions on a postcard.

2.

I finally got round to having my peepers sorted on Monday. I am as blind as a bat and wear contact lenses constantly. When i had neo i don't think i took them about for about 7months! Horrendous!(i also did definitely not mention that to my Optition) Anyway, I've needed new glasses for a while as my currents are scratched to high heaven. I was so pleased with the new Gok Wan range at Specsavers! They have a little retro twist which i love and i also got a new Karen Millen pair also on BOGOF, YAY :)

3.

I have serious lust for these boots from Very. Practical, Smart and i really fancy pairing with a classic trench/mac or a tweed style jacket. They should also see me nicely through the winter... maybe payday.

4.
I have a bit of an addiction to scarves and this one would make me happy.. Vintage and price cut! Now also only £9
Devoted to Vintage have some wonderful items.

5.

Last but by no means least, this vintage Fisher Price farm. What can i say, its a classic! It holds a special place in my heart as i remember playing with the exact same farm as a child. I think Neo may still be a tad young for it, but I'm contemplating it anyway (more for me really, i wanna see those cute little animals again)

I also have some amazing things on order from this lovely lady Really looking forward to showing those to you once they arrive.

Wishing you a fabulous weekend!

Pass me my Beret and Brie

Helloo!!!

Well as predicted, the dreaded lurgy got me and it got me good :( Still not feeling 100% but well on the way to being back to some kinda normal. Problem is Neo's still coughing and spluttering and now s.daughter Mia has it which inevitably leads to s.son Talyn having it... not good at all.
Even with a stinky cold I promise I was still getting dressed in reasonably nice clothes (most days) but no photos because I was feeling AWFUL! I had a terrible breakout (not the foo fighters variety, the skin type) my hair was frizzy then greasy (crazy stupid hair)  and I was just generally feeling yuck about myself.
Hubby and i have been feeling bad for a while and since baby Neo came along, I just can't shift this baby weight. But i'd be lying now if i called it baby weight as he's 13months old! It's more like cake and chocolate and everything i shouldn't be eating weight, lol. So hubby and i are really trying to do something about it. He is doing amazing!! Me, hhhmmm not so much, but it's a vast improvement on before, so a step in the right direction for me.

Anywhhooo, as you may know (from experience or reading other British blogs?) we seem to be having a freekish heat wave here in UK. I mean seriously, it's been hotter and sunnier than our whole summer! I'm a bit peeved off if I'm honest. I love autumn and i have all my lovely clothes eagerly awaiting to be worn, and i literally packed away all summer wear last week! I could't be arsed (being ill made me lazy!) to go get anything out of storage so unhappily i just made do.
This outfit i do like though, i feel like i should be breezing through the cobbled streets of the Latin Quarter in gay Paris, waltzing past the Eiffel tower and devouring beautiful cheeses and breads....

SKIRT: Primark £12.00
TOP: Next jumper dress £25.00 (i think)
BAG: Matalan £6 (i think)
BELT: Matalan (old)
NECKLACE: Vintage, ebay £7

He is soooo cheeky

Neo decided to fashion himself a new hat from his Blankee

Guess what I've been doing whilst poorly...Buying a few vintage toys. This ones Neo's fav :)

Yummy Tea tonight, delicious and nutrishous!

This fella on Neo's pj's makes me smile

I must have a thousand shots just like this, but everytime i see him sat there innocently i just melt!

I have had a truly lovely Sunday, i like those kind.... they're the best.
Hope you have had a fabulous weekend!
