Sausage Dog

Hello lovelies... Monday's over phew!
Wasn't too bad here, except Hub's has serious man flu... not good! I did however get him to stand in the door way to take some outside photos whilst it was nice and light. He wouldn't leave the door step, but fair do's he was a good sport to do them when he did'nt feel well.
And d'you know what? I really like today's outfit and the photos. Normally i pick out one or two of the best of a bad bunch, but today i had lots of nice ones to choose from, which makes a refreshing change. Maybe it was the red lippy, that always makes me pout and pose better. Or maybe it was the wind machine (ie gale force winds of The Valleys!) but i was happy.

Well folks, i've gotta say its been a good monday! I've done loads of housework which is boring and rubbish but feels good once done, played cars lots with Neo (he is getting so funny, i could watch and play all day with him, hes the best entertainment. He did drop a tin of corned beef on his little toe today though which made him limp and feel sorry for himself for 5 minutes, looking back now i can't help but laugh at his little face...it was a such a funny little picture, and don't ask why he was carrying corned beef around, that boy plays with anything other than actual toys!!) , made a yummy curry and did an outfit post. All in all quite a successful day.. Yay!
Hope you've all Good Mondays? I know, good and monday aren't normally in conjunction with each other right?

Take it Steady all!

CRACKING CHRISTMAS COMPETITION!!

Happy Sunday!
It's gone quite slowly here, which was nice. When your up at the crack of dawn each and every day, all days feel quite long!
We had a surprise visit from the in-laws this weekend, which was lovely. I am shattered now! Lots of food, dishes and mess to tidy up now... but i reckon it can all wait till monday!

Today i went for a chilled sunday outfit:
(sorry, photos are indoors with terrible lighting as it was raining cats and dogs outside again!! Welsh valleys are a very wet and windy place!)

Dress: New Look
Knitted Waitscoat: Dorothy Perkins
Boots: Next
This dress is a sunday dream, its super soft and stretchy, it hides mucky hand prints well and its really warm! And seeing as it was sunday make up involves.. well very little... a bit of tinted moisturiser a teeny sweep of mascara and a quick bit of whatever lippy was to hand. I like "easy does it" on a sunday!

I mentioned Friday that i would be doing a giveaway on Saturday.. well as usual i'm late, seriously i think i would be late for my own funeral.. i was late for my wedding, but i think thats the brides prerogative right?

Birthday Weekend

Helloo lovelies, Did you all have nice weekends?
Well it was my birthday weekend and i had a lovely time. It would have been a bit better with a tad more sleep but it was still a lovely weekend. My poor son was still teething and ratty and my step son had croup till 2am one night then coughed consistently till 4am Saturday night. Poor thing seems to have a chest infection. BUT everyone stayed well enough for me and hubs to leave the kids with my mum and go out for a fancy-pants meal. I had a few glasses of vino and we had a wonderful time. The next day my sister and mum took me to Frome to a vintage market. I was in my element! I could have wandered the wonderful cobbled streets for hours, unfortunately the weather was against us and poured down the whole time. But i managed to snap up a few little lovelies as a few pressies from me to me.
However, the only outfit i managed to snap was my birthday-day which was hairdressers and a few errands. I took the plunge to get my hairstyled in a way i've wanted for years, and i LOVE it!
I haven't had a fringe (bangs) since i was about 10 so this was a big change and i was so happy with the outcome.

Jeans & Blouse :Very
jacket: Newlook
Shoes: my fav as you can prob tell by the amount i wear them: Seychelles
Bag: Next

This is pretty much straight out the hairdressers. I very much doubt i will be able to re-create this...ever!
You know me by now, the perpetual messy haired mama :)

Here's a few snaps from my birthday weekend:
Beautiful vintage bears that i could just not leave in the shop

vintage knitted bag

fantastic street band in Frome

Hubs and i before going out for our meal

In the fancy pants restaurant everyone wore black/grey or silver.. i wore this... and loved it.... never one to blend in

new shoes

aww handsome hubby.. scrubs up well!

Well thats it in a nutshell i guess. I had some wonderful pressies, beautiful jewellery sets, 2 wonderful dresses, Marc Jacobs perfume (from my list, yay) and some other bits and bobs. I felt very lucky :)
We also put up the dec's and tree.. more piccies to come.
Hope you've had a lovely weekend all!

Mistakes happen

Happy first of the month everyone...December, what a great month! The weather seems to have finally gotten cold too which is much more fitting to my winter wardrobe. This mild malarky was making my knitwear feel neglected.
I have had a pretty rubbish week.. Neo has been super poorly and it's been awful seeing him like it. He seems to be half back to normal, he's been causing mischief this afternoon. But still off his food and generally upset a lot.. Tough days! I've hardly gotten either of us dressed except in to clean pj's. And i have felt exhausted..
So to try and ward off the cabin fever i got myself dressed and headed to the supermarket.
Now as the title states, this outfit may not be right for me. Its one of those ones that looked far better in my head. I love each part individually, but it needs removing from each other and placing with other members of my wardrobe family. And the hat, well i love the hat.. it was raining and not a drop touched my face thanks to my fantastic hat. Looks were given though, this small town isn't ready for fabulous hats!

Tweed jacket: Vintage Ebay
Cord Flares: Monsoon
Scarf: Primark
Hat: Next
Boots: F&F

I think i would like to belt in the jacket a la Kendi, and change it to some skinny jeans rather than these brown cords , 'cos the chunky monkey look isn't really one i would like to portray.

Anyway peeps, this is just a quick visit... My birthday in 2 sleeps and counting aannnndd i promise the next outfit will be a better one! Pinky promise!
Have a lovely evening/day, and yay! its practically the weekend, cakes all round!!
