Chocolate and Cream

 So every girl needs some essentials during autumn/winter, right? And in my eyes two of those very important things that are the top of my must have list every autumn are;
 a pair of brown/tan knee high boots
and
 and a pair of black biker style boots

  I am so pleased to be collaborating this month with Lotus Shoes to show you some of the best shoes around.

Today i introduce you to my new love the chocolate brown knee high boot

 Each winter without fail, i always invest in a good pair of brown boots. Normally i go for a light tan which has always been great, but this year i really fancied going for the chocolate brown. These boots are a such a great dark rich colour , they look luxurious and practical all at the same time. The soles are thick and have a lot of grip, ( that might sound strange but is noteworthy in my books as my previous boots from Next had zero grip and actually have a hole in the sole, which i am not impressed with, after shelling out £80 last winter on them!)  this will be so helpful during the snowy/frosty months adding a great practicality to the classic boot.

The riding boot style is one that has held its own for winter upon winter, i love how they can look smart and yet are so easy to wear too! As a mother and a general lady on the go these are the ultimate winter boot for me. I know i can wear these with nice pretty blouses for coffee dates with friends, or with a big coat through the thick of winter whilst going for long walks with the family, they are the boot of all boots for the jack(jill?) of all trades.

 To début the Lotus Amano Dark Brown Leather Knee High Boot i wanted a simple classic outfit, so today i went for simple dark indigo skinny jeans and cream blouse with gold jewellery. Simple yet effective i found! I can't wait to show you all the wonderful ways i have planned to style these lovely boots over the next few months. I can see these being a regular fixture on these feet of mine!

Do you have your classic winter boots yet?

Green Elephants and Passion For Fashion LINK UP

I have had my eye on this cute green smock dress with little elephants on for weeks and weeks, i cyber stalked it online hopping it would go in to the sales, i nearly bit the bullet and paid full price for it as i wanted it that much, but being stingy means sometimes having to be patient. Then last week in my saved items there it was reduced by £12! i did a little woop woop to my laptop and popped in the old payment details, and the little elephant dress was mine!
 I apologise now for the slight blur to these photos, being impatient i wanted to photograph my new pretty dress now, now, now but it was absolutely horrendous weather. So i convinced hubby to come to this underground passage to take photos, only problem was the lighting was so so dim that the shutter speed was the slowest it could be and i had to stand as still as a statue (which i find really hard!)! So there's a slight fuzzy feeling im afraid, but needs must, this torrential rain isnt giving us much of a let up at the moment. I hear there are lots of parts of the world having heavy rain right now, how is it in your neck of the woods?

Happy Yellow Rain Coat

 I have had a huge crush on Cornish company Seasalt for a few years. Each year i treat myself to one of their lovely cosy, comfy tunics and gaze dreamily at their wonderful raincoats and jackets.  Everytime a Seasalt email pops up in my inbox i always click through and fill my virtual cart with wonderful practical yet funky clothing.
Being British, we get a heck of a lot of rain  (all year round really) so to have the pleasure of wearing one of their wonderful Seafolly Rain Jackets really puts a happy spin on rainy days.

 This bright yellow rain coat is absolutely wonderfully made. It is part of the Seasalt Rain Collection, being made of a special tin cloth making it breathable , comfortable and importantly, 100% rain proof, which for a wet weather dweller like me, is perfection in a coat!! I absolutely can not wait to wear this through winter with jeans and wellie boots and over my dresses. And, through the grey gloomy months this bright cheery coat will certainly put a smile on my face.

 Do you have a great rain coat?
