Following on from the Marks and Spencer Styleboard post on Monday here i bring to you a real life mannequin (me!) styling the aforementioned Spring pieces i chose.
I always love how bloggers, magazines/ fashion shoots bring clothes to life.
I like to see movement and individuals styling pieces, (probably why i love the whole blogging community so much) it enables me to envisage how i would wear/style it.
After spending a leetle bit too long unleashing my inner stylist with the
Marks And Spencer Styleboards, i then got to try my hand at styling the pieces in real life.
Staying pretty true to my boards i first styled all the pieces together. I wanted to be able to create a whole coherent outfit and then have offshoots from there, with remixes for the dress and coat and lots of wear for the shoes and bag.
The shoes are fabulously comfortable (i love that in a new shoe!!) with their cute ankle strap and
on-trend block heel, these lovelies pumps have hardly left my feet since the day they arrived. They just 'go' with everything.
I LOVE animal print, it acts as a great neutral, but in actual fact you are adding interest with a bit of pattern mixing. (3's up here: Stripes, subtle chevron with the Herringbone coat and animal print with the shoes! triple score ;-)
This outfit ticks lots of Spring style boxes; patterns, textures and bright colour pops.
And on top of all that style talk, i just really really love it. I can't remember the last time an outfit stole my heart as much as this one. Tomorrow i have a day date with my son to the cinema and guess what i shall be wearing?! Yep, this whole ensemble..
The one thing I quickly wanted to touch on, because I couldn't not mention it as it was just so obvious when I received the pieces. The quality is outstanding. Hub's even commented on how luxurious the coat was when I put it on and I have to say I simply felt fantastic in each of the items. When i put the full outfit on, I felt wonderful, like I could take on the world, like my dress had in-built confidence.
Strange really, but I think a lot has to be said for quality products over the cheaper end of the market. You could literally feel the difference.
I shall be back on Friday with how i've remixed these pieces.
Have you bought any new Spring items yet? What are you crushing on for S/S '14?
All thanks to Marks and Spencer
