Spring Decorating

It's official, we have been in our home for a year, and we still love it so very much more than our old dilapidated house. With a long first winter under our belts here it has given us chance to settle in and get the 'dynamics' of our family home. With our bedrooms all pretty much sorted , bar some additional storage needed, I have my eyes firmly set on our living room. At the moment it is brown brown and more boring, i mean brown. We didn't immediately change it when we first moved in as the decor was inoffensive and we mainly concentrated on the bedrooms, and making things nice for the kiddies.
But spring gives me the urge to clean and decorate (anyone else like this?) The light shines in from both sides of our living room and all the drab brown just doesn't do it for me.
So with that in mind i have been perusing Urbanara's Spring colour trends for the home and seeing what catches my eye..

Here's what i am liking



 The colour scheme of light orange and shades of blue is just dreamy, when i think about it i would wear these colours in an outfit. I guess placing a room together is like putting an outfit together. I can see me having a lot of fun 'dressing' my living room.

My problem is i am completely fickle, which becomes a problem when choosing what theme to go with. I just love them all, i have such eclectic taste there's just too many beautiful styles to choose from.

    I am pretty much set in my ways as a country girl and I looooooove shabby-chic, country style, but the hubs is a major modern fan. I work to marry the two styles together. I love light, neutral furniture though - and most of mine in my living room is white or distressed white/ivory. I could do any of the above looks too because I love a pop of color! (right now mine is red!) :) With neutral walls/furniture, you can completely change the look of a room with just some pillows or a throw! I do hope you share your decisions! Happy decorating dear!

    Why are all the interiors so pretty? We're trying to decide on how to decorate our new place at the moment and it is so hard. Mainly because me and LF are in complete disagreement on what would suit our space. Love the one with the grey walls and the mustard! I can't wait to see what you decide on, I'm sure it will be gorgeous xo
