Snow Day!!!!

Today it snowed and it was FUN!!

 We've had a fair bit of snow around this time for the past 3 years and this time has been the most fun! We took Neo out on a sledge and had an epic snowball fight (which Paul won hands down... i throw like such a girl!) and then we built a little snow teddy bear. I'm exhausted now!

 I put layered outfit together this morning and then changed for snow play this afternoon. I didn't realise when i put it together that there's actually 3 types of pattern going on (stars, check and animal)  but i kinda loved all the different pieces together! Plus super layers meant warmth. The tights i have on are fleece lined and are the best invention ever! To go play in the snow i put my jeans on over them and my   Lands' End coat which is unbelievable warm. I had the hood up and took it down as my head felt so warm! That was until Paul got me in the face with a snow ball... ugh!! It's his birthday today so i shall let him off!!

Looking at this photo i look like im phony laughing which im totally not,(although i am actually rather good at fake laughing and fake enthusiasm .. its a skill!) I had literally slipped and then slipped again and could not compose my balance at all. I do love these boots but they have ZERO grip. Best kept for non snowy slippy days me thinks.

Polkadotty-navajo, its a thing isn't it? It is now! 

Can you BELIEVE its 4 sleeps tell the big fat man in the red suit makes an apperance?!! Arrrgghh! Where the heck has this year gone? I've read a few blogs lately, reflecting on their past year and it's really got me thinking about 2012 for me too. I think i'll be doing a full reflection post coming up soon ladies. I'm still in utter disbelief that the year is nearly over. Have you had a good year?

 I bought this blouse on ebay for 99p a month or so ago. Man, i love Ebay. This blouse is in the most perfect condition and is so pretty on. I've been wearing it with jeans and jackets as well as skirts, it was a really great piece to add to my wardrobe, and at the price it feels even better!

And the cardigan is another gift from Hubby for my birthday 2 years ago. That man knows me well, he knows i'm like a little old lady who loves her cardi's! This one is like a coatigan. It doesn't get worn as much i'd like, its really thick and warm and you can't wear a coat with it, so it had to be a dry day, which fyi is a rarity in these parts lately. 

Oh and the Minnetonkas which i have been so desperately after but too tight to pay full price are also an awesome Ebay find. I tell ya, i am an ebaying demon! These came and are like brand new for less than a third of the price... yay for a good bargain!

 I didn't realise how short this skirt was until i was out doing the very last of my shopping this morning and with arms laden with lots of last minute Christmas supplies i dropped 3 rolls of wrapping paper. I had to bend over and get them as discreetly as possible, but i wouldn't be surprised if half of Tesco saw tomorrows washing...eek :/

 The Minnetonkas are so super comfy. They are a bloggers dream aren't they?! I see them on so many bloggers and have loved them from a far. And now i have them they are every bit as comfy as i'd hoped. funny isn't the power of the blogger. I find we really do rub off on each other don't we. I kinda like it, like it's a secret gang,haha! 

Anyway gang, I will be popping back in hopefully before now and the big day, so i shall see you all real soon!!

Ps Tomorrow i shall be dressing up as the Indian from this well known group, with headress and all, and raising money for Breast Cancer.... should be fun!!! Wish me luck! Off to go practice my YMCA actions ;-)

You all had yourselves nice weekends?
I'm still on my week off and its been going really slowly... which is bizzare. I normally feel like life is wizzing past me and i'm constantly begging for more time! I've had the best time just being chilled and reading and sewing and taking outfit photos and LOTS of playing cars with Neo. It's been FAB! I could quite easily be a lady of leisure.
So can i just give you a quick intro to this outfit.
It may be my favourite outfit to date!! I KNOW! Out of all the clothes in all the worlds, this hits home with me. Twirly skirt, cute tee and wedge shoes equals: AWESOME!!

I've worn this t-shirt so much since i bought it 2 -3 weeks ago. I love its quirky girl with her little hair bow. I normally wear it with jeans just casual, but love it with this skirt. The skirt is so twirly and fun, with yellow hearts alllll over! You know me, i can't resist a heart print. Plus on sale! Double plus, i reckon it will be great in winter with some thick tights :)

Well, thanks so much for all your kind words on my last post, that shall be named the disastrous week. But i have to tell you, all your lovely thoughts and positivity must have been sent my way as the shop called me today and told me they had found my phone under some of the fixtures and fittings!!! What are the odds of that???!! I feel so lucky.I went to the shop, got my phone and nearly kissed that lady!! i looked at all the photos (and started to take them all off to save!!) and realised what i had lost and how unbelievably lucky i am to have it back. There were lots of lessons learnt though, and i'm a firm believer of two things, 1. Law of attraction and 2. Everything happens for a reason! The world is a strange and marvellous place huh!

I have needed a nice comfy pair of black shoes for ages. I was delighted when i stumbled upon these when getting a Starbucks which is actually in New look!(lethal i tell ya) It was shoe heaven. They are really comfy! And in return for buying these babies i gave 4 pairs to charity. Good shoe karma i like to think!

And the mullet skirt, jurys still out on this one for me at the moment. It was only £5 so gave it ago, but just not sure, they seem a bit weird to me. It feels fancy pants and maybe im just not a fancy pants type girl ;)

Hello All!

I feel like it's been a while again since I last blogged, I always have such good intentions to blog most days, and then before I know it, the day has passed and I haven't even written a word.
But even though I haven't been blogging, I've still been reading all the lovely blogs I follow.

Last week I was over at Cheryl's blog just fab blogger and the lovely lady has only gone and given me an award! YAY me! :) I was so chuffed as I have really enjoyed blogging since I started a few months back.

1. I'm married to my lovely hubby, we've been together 5 years and married for a year and a half and he is 14 years older than me, but he's a big kid.
2. I am the Finance Director of our business SMS. I never dreamt in a million years my career would go this way and I would be in the CCTV industry running a £1.2million turn over company.
3. I won Young Entrepreneur of the year in South Wales
4. My sister, Rhiannon is my best friend, we fought like cat and dog growing up, but now we're sooo close. We speak probably 5 times a day and could still have things to talk about.
5.My favourite colour is green, but I hardly own any green clothes.
6. My favourite disney film is Up. (Squirrel!!) And my fav films are The Matrix trilogy (hence why my son is called Neo!)
7. I have a very short attention span, I've wandered off about 5 times since writing this. I get distracted easily!

Wow, I could have gone on and on then! lol, Can't shut me up once I get started!

Been a busy old weekend/ week as we are off with the kids  and we have been trying to fill the days with fun. Fun for them, not so much for the parents. But it has been lovely.

A lovely day in the park! The vintage skirt I'm wearing is just lovely, it's amazing, the quality of the cotton is so much better/ thicker than today's standards. I love wearing vintage, it always makes me wonder who wore it and where. Looking forward to wearing this through the autumn/ winter with thick tights and boots and wooly knitted cardigans.
