Easy Like Friday Morning...

EBEW - Back To School

UPDATE: adding this to this months EBEW as it is my favourite preppy look! Hope you like it!!

Hellooo lovelies, welcome to friday! And for us Brits a long Bank holiday weekend, aint that grand!

Shirt: Clothing at Tesco
Blazer: Matalan
Jeans & Brogues: Next
Bag (my laptop case) : Vintage, gifted from hubby
Specs: c/o Firmoo

Remember i mentioned the other day that i was actually in work doing really boring stuff. Well this was what i wore on that boring day, and i was going to say that its quite a boring outfit, for me. No brooches, bangles or bells;) just simple preppy style. I've been wearing this a lot lately. In-fact i've been living in these jeans and this blazer on and off all week. yesterday we had an appointment at the vets (Holly has a bady eye, bless her) and i swapped out the shirt for a simple red and white Breton top.
I think i've been craving me some simplicity. Life around us lately is pretty stressy and crazy so i think i've gone super simple with my clothing. And i've enjoyed it, a lot!
These brogues are now well and truly worn in and feel like slippers, i really wanna wear them with some cute dresses and tights to see if i can work that re mix... any suggestions for what to wear with Brogues?
Do you ever crave simplicity in your outfits?
As much as i enjoyed this, i've also been planning some major colour mixing ensembles, coming to a blog post real soon!
Right ladies, i'm off , got a humongous amount of work to do today, with the possibility of the in laws coming this weekend, some new business ventures to look in to and a huge mess to clean. On top of that i have the mother of all mother headaches... nice! Wish me luck...

Love to you all
xxxx

Ps one week countdown till this fella is 2!! eeeeee
Footnote: this photo is from a few weeks ago, his hair is longer and crazier right now. we judge age my hair craziness I was going to take a photo  and put it here, but he was picking his nose and really, no one wants to see that, not even his mama;) xox

Bugs Life

Hey Lovelies,
Monday has arrived way to quickly again. I've had the most wonderful weekend (Happy Mothers Day to all the american Mama's out there)
The thrifty gods must have been looking down on me as i have had a number of lovely finds, i think its thrifting karma. Friday i gave 3 huge bags away to my local charity shop, and in return i found some lovely cups, saucers, plates, gravy boat and casserole dish (vintage kitchen ware is my favourite!) and a couple of vintage broaches to add to the collection.
On top of visiting the charity shops and a huge car boot sale, we went to our favourite park, Margam Park, with the kids on Saturday and the weather was beautiful! We had an impromptu picnic with just some bits and bobs bought that morning and had a really lovely time. Not all my weekends are this lucky nice, normally it's housework and rain, so this was so refreshing to be out in the sun and thoroughly enjoying it. Its raining cats and dogs here today however!?!
So this is from yesterday

Cardi: Clothing at Tesco
Skirt: (old) Primark
Top: worn back to front: (old) Dorothy Perkins
Bag: Vintage
Necklace: on sale £2: New Look
Shoes: (old): Next
Cats Eye Sunglasses: Very

So this is all quite old as outfits go. I have issues with buying "summer" clothes as British weather is sooo temperamental. The amount of summers when we barely have any nice warm weather is the norm here. So when we do get this nice weather i become a bit clueless!
This top is supposed to be worn with the buttons down the back, but i cut the little tag off and turned it round to create a collared open buttoned type look. Think i actually prefer it this way as i was never keen on how it sat before.
And these glasses, oh how i love thee! I'm working on getting a pair of genuine vintage fabulous sunglasses, but these do me nicely for now!

Anyway back to the rat race today, food, dishes, laundry, all that wonderful stuff, and then work tomorrow... Oh the joys!!! Not to wish time away but roll on Friday ;)

Have yourselves a lovely week!!

Ps, The voting is still on-going, i'm in second place, currently 27 votes off the winner (which could all change), if you haven't yet, it would be marvellous if you could click and like!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Happy Gal

Welcome to the weekend lovelies! Do you have nice plans?
I've just looked at the weather forecast and I'm in shock. Big fat sunshine's, plastered all over the weekend, woohoo!
Today was also a beautiful day, it seems spring has officially sprung here!
Today consisted of some shopping and generally running round after/for the kiddos. I was happy come (their) bed time for pizza and a cold glass of Magners, yum!

Top & Bag:  Both vintage, bag was a gift from hubby at Christmas and i use it for my laptop as is the perfect size!
Scarf: Asos (old)
JeansVery (now on sale and a great bell bottom jean for £17!)
Sunglasses also Very
Shoes: Blowfish via Asos

I LOVE this outfit, this is me one happy gal.. Its casual but i love each part of the outfit.
The jeans: I have been looking for a great  pair of Bell bottom jeans, to no avail. Tried these and perfection. Great fit, great flare, great length.
The jumper: I bid for it on ebay, and i was determined i wanted it, after a slight bidding war(dont mess with me!!!)i got it for £10. When it arrived there was a hole in it, and right on the boob (peek a boo just isn't my style!;-) i contacted the lady and she gave me half back so it cost a fiver!
The scarf: had for years never worn, today was its first outing.
The shoes: Wanted to try Blowfish shoes for a while, had a couple of pairs years ago but wanted a chunky wedge style for summer, now these are last seasons but had them for a great price and i love them. Besides, "seasons" have never really bothered me, if i like something it doesn't matter when its from.
Bag: lovely pressie off hubby which i use every day as a home for my trusty laptop.
All of this makes for a happy outfit for a happy gal.
This weekend i plan on doing lots of ebaying ( selling, maybe a little buying) cleaning (poop!), car boot sale (for my american friends that's like garage sales or estate sales, kind of! ) and trying to make the most of the fabulous weather.
Do you have nice plans? Would love to hear!

Wishing you a great one whatever your up to!!

Ps one week left until the GIVE AWAY is drawn. Have you entered? xx
