Sometimes a girl just needs some red stilettos

After a long week of work and being full up with a nasty cold, i literally felt like rubbish by Sunday. So what does a girl do when she feels like rubbish? She dons her most favourite pair of bright red heels of course. I mean look at them, aren't they beautiful. Life altering they may not be, but they sure do put a smile on my face;)
Also adding in to the mix, by beloved faux leather trousers that add a little sass in to my step, and my beautiful new coat from Elite Fashion 99.. beautiful new coats also make everything better. They have an amazing selection, i'm totally crushing on this beautiful coat for spring.. pastel perfection and also price perfection too.. coats  and clothes well within my budget get a huge thumbs up from me.
This coat though is the same style that i have pinned on my pintrest inspiration boards for ages. So now its all mine *cue evil laugh* and its just wonderful. I love love love it. Did i need another new coat? No.. Do i care.. also no.. ;)
Coats are fast becoming an obsession of mine. A whole outfit can be planned around a coat. I think i've mentioned this before as i'm having the strangest feeling of deja-vu.. Lets just say my heads still rather foggy from all the yucky cold and for now i'll stop talking and lets just swoon of those heels again shall we?
Swwwooooon.

Remix Files: The faux leather mini (& #Passion4Fashion Linkup)

I remember like it was yesterday, standing in Matalan's changing rooms, trying this faux leather skirt on and thinking to myself 'Will i actually wear it?'
Turns out it was a very worthy investment (even more so for its very small price tag of around £12 i think at the time) I have worn this skirt so so much over the 18 months. Its such a versatile great working piece that adds funk and edge to any outfit and a great all-season item.
Here's a few ways i've styled it over the last year and a half, and i haven't exhausted it yet either. Faux leather is a staple in my wardrobe, and this skirt is up there for me with ripped jeans and a trench coat.
I can't believe its yet to be worn with stripes or leopard print.. i have been missing out big time there! I think you may be seeing even more of this skirt over the next year again.
As for now i am absolutely smothered with a stinking cold and only my harry potter sweatshirt and joggers willl do. Outfit post friendly my face is not right now.. my poor nose...Rudolph[h comes to mind ;)
With a mustard shirt and gold trimmed booties

In summer for a boho/girly vibe with a kimono and heels

With a fedora, fierce booties and a gilet

Casual with a sweatshirt and biker boots

I absolutely love this skirt, juts so much potential!
Do you own a faux leather skirt and is a hard working piece for you?

An easy to wear skirt, and a burgundy biker jacket

This outfit, or variations of it,  have been on constant rotation over the past couple of months. I bought the skirt and the sweater in December and i wore it a lot over my birthday week and then to the school play, then out for lunch and so many more days. Its just easy, stretchy and comfy and perfect for so many different occasions. I've loved wearing this outfit, sometimes i wear with a black biker jacket, sometimes a gilet, with black knee high boots or flats. Versatile yet comfy.. it doesn't get much better in my books.
The great thing about the skirt are the colours within it make for a great remixing palette. Greys, white, navy and burgundy are easy to mix in to the rest of the outfit. Today i brought in my favourite burgundy biker jacket and finished off with some greys and a baby blue. I hadn't worn this duo (the sweater and the skirt) this way before but needless to say i shall be wearing it again!
